I used to LOVE this place but had an experience so horrible that I still (months later) don’t know if my husband or I will ever return. We went regularly for a while. Came on a Sunday two hours before close. The place was pretty empty. My husband went to the bar to grab us margaritas since the person taking orders wasn’t of age to do so. I walked around the entire restaurant and couldn’t find a single (all empty) clean table to sit at. Finally sat at the cleanest one I could find. My husband walked over from grabbing our drinks and asked why I sat at a dirty table. I said it was the cleanest I could find. He then walked around and then sat back down, agreeing it was by far the cleanest. At that point he asked an employee (he had to approach, they were all standing behind the bar by the kitchen) if they had a rag or anything to wipe the table with. THEY HANDED HIM A DIRTY DISH RAG. After my husband wiped the table, we both couldn’t believe that happened so I went to ask for a manager- politely. I was greeted with a teenager. I told him how dirty the place was and he said “we were just really busy before you got here” and I replied “well you aren’t now. Just giving feedback here.”
He sent an employee to slowly wipe two tables…The tables were still dirty, visibly from where we sat, after he did it. Then all the employees started hanging out again. It was just gross and downright bad as far as cleanliness, employees, and service go. If I walked in on this as a business owner, I honestly would have been tempted to fire...
Read moreHere's the reason that you're receiving a 2 Star review!
First of all the bathrooms need to have touchless sinks and toilets due tremendous traffic and I believe this to be reasonable because of the success of the business!
Second of all your staff needs to pay more attention to FIFO of goods! You were out of the lemonade on a couple of times knowing this you should know it's very popular and should have more stock available! (Better procurement processes)
Also to be noted is that we ask for Limes and supposedly you were out and then I ask someone else then we were given one lime when the bar had plenty of them!
This is obviously due to lack of sourcing and FIFO!
Server also seem to be irritated that we ask for another cardboard container to hold our tacos!
Also noteworthy is that your forks are not wrapped and they're all poking up so everyone's hands touch them this is clearly lack of understanding of sanitation!
Just reducing the spread of germs is a good idea don't have to be a germ-freak just to practice logical principles!
All in all this is not the Mojo's tacos I raved about for 2 years!
I hope that you take notice so that you can improve your business!
Lastly my wife and I spent $150.00 here that may not be a lot of money to you but that was only in tacos we expect excellence for...
Read moreExcellent food, but overpriced for the atmosphere and service. After ordering (at the counter), I was presented with a menu of tips like 20%, 25%, and 30%. She said, "The tip goes to everyone that works here." That's great, but what that tells me is they aren't paying their employees enough, and are expecting the rest of us to make up for it, and we're the jerks if we don't tip, rather than them being the jerks for not paying their employees what they deserve. Typical in corporate America. She brought us our food, and I had a plate of rice, which would obviously require a fork. I asked if I could get one, and she pointed to where they are located across the restaurant. So what am I tipping for, exactly? Then you clean up after yourself and throw your own food away. You might get away with this downtown, but not out here in the suburbs. Please pay your employees a living wage, as they aren't providing services associated with tipping.
Again, I want to be clear. I don't blame the employees for asking for a tip. That's what they have been trained to do. I blame the owners who don't pay their employees enough and expect customers to make up...
