Very disappointing. We have eaten here a few times and have had great service but just "okay" food. The other night, I ordered the "Fish & Chips". What I received was three tiny pieces of fish, a tiny amount of french fries, and a "condiment" sized cup of coleslaw. The uploaded picture is the actual meal as served. Now the batter on the fish was honestly so salty, it tasted like someone had dumped salt in the batter instead of flour. It almost made me gag. I had to pick all the batter off of the fish just to eat it and it was still horribly salty. How could nobody in the kitchen catch this? I have never sent food back to a kitchen, but I honestly thought about it. Secondly, Fries cost nearly nothing to make a happy customer. So when you put a ton of fries on a plate, it costs pennies to make the customer go, "WOW, that is huge". When you put a tiny amount, the customer goes "There is hardly any food". A word to the kitchen, load up on the fries if your going to be cheap on the rest of the food. I paid way too much and left hungry. Not a good combination if you want repeat customers. The service has always been good and the only reason they received as many stars as they did.

If you're nearly at the border (or just crossing over) and you're craving some great steak and a very homey atmosphere, the Old Montana Bar is the place to visit. It's nestled in a very small town just off of the I-90 and if they had saloon doors that swung about freely, you'd be hard-pressed not to imagine yourself in an old western. Friendly and accommodating staff, a nice and laid-back atmosphere, and a handful of casino games if you're into that sort of thing. However, if we're talking about steaks, these folks serve up some pretty mean dishes such as the Wagyu Sirloin that I sampled as I passed through town! A nice, tender and juicy steak surrounded by the vegetables of the day and your choice of side (can't go wrong with Jo-Jos), as well as a soup or salad to start. The portion was great for the price and quality of meat, and I wouldn't doubt that any of the other delicious choices would be any different.

Drove up to the Old Montana Bar on the Harley from the Silver Valley. Absolutely beautiful day and a gorgeous drive. Been wanting to stop in here for a while, and today it was our destination. My husband ordered the French dip sandwich which came with wonderful beer battered French fries on a garlic roll - really good! I tried the carne asada fries with cheese and it was great. Came with sour cream and salsa, and the meat had a lot of flavor and was cooked perfectly. There was a good selection of beers, and we really enjoyed our visit. The only downside (which was not an issue as we were not on a time schedule) was that there was only one gal working, and she was RUNNING. Almost every table was full, and she was moving so quickly, I don't know how she had time to breathe. We will definitely stop by again.

I want to share with you the WORST restaurant experience I have ever had! My fiance, his son and wife and I went SxS riding today. We ended up in Saltese and decided to stop for drinks and lunch at the Old Montana Bar. We walked in and first thing we noticed was neither of the bathrooms were working. We were covered in dirt from head to toe and we couldn't even wash our hands. Our son went to the bar and ordered drinks and requsted menus. After 30 minutes or so still no menus so i went and got them myself. We waited for another 30 minutes or so before anyone came to take our order. During this time we were playing on the casino machines, we went to cash our tickets in and they informed us they do not have change and they round the ticket down...wow, this place gets better and better! Finally they come to take our order...1 philly sandwiche, 1 2 piece chicken strip basket, 1 12 piece wings, 3 salads and a cup of soup. 1st thing out was the chicken strips. About 20 minutes later out came the philly and the wings...surely the salads and soup are on their way. 45 minutes later my fiance went up and told them to cancel the 3 salads and soup as we would not have time to eat them. Our son went up to the bar and paid our bill, even included a tip, why? I am not sure! And we left. As if this wasn't bad enough...the next thing we know our so called waitress comes barreling out the front door asking us if we had planned on leaving without paying our bill? We informed her we did pay our bill. We followed her back in to make sure everything was okay, turned around and...

The first time we went there, the service was amazing. The second time... Oops had a bad day. The third time... Our bad we should have gotten the hint!! We went 2 days in a row.. Saturday and Sunday, the worst service I have ever had, both days. The waitress would look right at you and continue talking with another employee or simply turn and walk away from you. Saturday, after being there for quite some time and being ignored, we finally left and went to Mullan and had dinner. It had about 20 people inside. Sunday, We ordered food and only got a quarter of our food. When we left, we paid the bill and asked the food that didn't arrive to be removed. We walked outside and the gal chased us out the door, almost fell down the stairs, asking if we were gonna pay out ticket. It was a mess to say the least. I know things are hard with the current Covid issues, but this was horrible!! And to add insult to injury... The bathrooms were both out of service, or they didnt take the note down. However, getting anyone to pay attention to you is a joke. We watched 5 people leave, get in their cars and drive away because they could NOT get any service. Please note there was a total of 4 of us, when we walked in.. Then 5 more came and left mad, as did we...
