The Salty Cow — Restaurant in Thornbury Township

Unfortunately, they were unable to keep my child with dietary restrictions safe. She has eaten there safely many times, and tonight ordered a meal that she knew she could eat. But instead they served something that made her seriously ill and had the potential to make her immediately dangerously ill. The response from the manager was along the lines of oh well, what can you do about it now? And the owner delayed talking to me until tomorrow when it’s more convenient for him. My daughters sick tonight, now what?? Never again!

To respond to your comments below- Your managers initial response was Oh well, it’s too late to do anything about it now, you’re just going to have to deal with being sick. Regardless of the cause for the exposure- and my daughter does have anaphylaxis reactions to some foods- the person exposed still gets sick. Human error counts. 10 out of 10 absolute 10! The staff here is incredible. Talk about going above and beyond. I showed up a little bit before closing after working a 13 1/2 hour day. And when I walked in, I didn’t look at the hours and they were about to close and as soon as I realized what time it was, I apologized and told them it was no problem and they said no what do you want and they let me order and they were so kind and so friendly and the food was phenomenal. The Salty Cow is a hidden gem located in the middle of nowhere on a side road off of Rte 202 in West Chester, but worth the find! My husband & I wanted a good milkshake, which is how I found this place when searching restaurants in the area. Based off of pictures and reviews we decided to check it out and it sure was worth it. The staff was friendly. The place was very clean. We ordered the Pub-style burger (special sauce on it is amazing), truffle fries (yummy), and milkshakes...everything was delicious 😋!!!
