Almost Typical kitchen — Restaurant in Thornton Township

Soooo here's a new black owned spot in Chicago's south suburbs! Baby!!! My hubby. "rented" the entire place for my birthday dinner!🤣🤣 Great music, great vibes, the food was ABSOLUTELY OFF the çhain!💪💪❤❤

I had the blackened salmon, stewed cabbage, mac & cheese. The flavor was everything! (The mac.& cheese could have used just a tad bit more creaminess). Hubby had the Peri Peri grilled chicken, homemade garlic mashed potatoes & Mac & cheese. The Peri Peri was seasoned perfectly! The mash tasted just like mom's. Hubby cleaned his plate!! This wonderful meal was accompanied by their homemade peach infused sweet tea! YUM!!

He doesn't have a dessert menu just yet. When we asked about dessert...he literally whipped.us up some.sweet potatoe wontons..!❤YUMMY!!
