El Pollo Feliz — Restaurant in Thornton

Horrible service, and the food was pretty gross. My husband and I went in 40 min before closing and the cashier girl told us they were putting our food to go because they were closing "soon", even though the sign outside clearly says they close at 8:30 pm. We decided to sit down and try to eat fast but pretty much got kicked out 15 mins in. The girl was stomping around with an attitude and she turned the TV off on us. She made us feel really bad and uncomfortable. We ended up throwing away all our food except the chili cheese fries which were the only edible item we ordered, everything else...

Huge disappointment! Very expensive. The price that is on the picture is not an accurate one. Tacos de borrego are not $1.69 but $2.25. Consomé the borrego is not $6.99 but $8.49. I ordered a weekend available only consomé de borrego and tacos de borrego. The consomé (soup) was literally not a lamb soup but a lamb flavor rice soup, with almost no meet in! They didn’t even give my any tortillas with it. The tacos very pretty good, tasty but....I don’t think it was lamb (borrego). They tasted like roasted pork! For the soup and 5 tacos I paid $22.11....

Unfortunately the store was broken into a couple of times and couldn't accept doordash orders due to the theft of the dd tablet. As a restaurant you should contact them to turn off your orders until a replacement has been arrived. I thought it was highly unprofessional to keep it open for future orders knowing you can't accept them. The decor is older and outdated. Place is in very bad area for crime. Also no customers were inside eating....
