Panorama Six82 — Restaurant in Thornton

Atmosphere was very good with a lovely dining area and large windows to take in the view. We were warmly greeted and shown to a comfy two top. The only downside there was it was right next to the blaring Bluetooth speaker. Fortunately, I was able to turn it down to a more reasonable level.

I wish I could say the food matched, but it was fair to middling. We started with the fried brussel sprouts and poutine fries. The sprouts were supposed to come with bacon, but I could not find any! The poutine’s meat topping was good but the fries were a bit soggy - including the ones not covered in gravy! I had the scallop appetizer for dinner and my wife had the PB wrap. My scallops were rubbery and clearly over cooked. Lots of bacon in the dish, but it was hard and dried. The dish seemed to have spent a lot of time under a warmer as it was nearly inedible. My wife’s PB wrap was better but nearly overwhelmed by the focaccia. She ended up taking off much of the bread to taste the filling.

Service was top notch, so that was good. Too bad the food didn’t match. Can’t recommend this place based on the poor...

Located at the Owl’s Nest Resort. Beautiful views with both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a small bar. There were four of us and I got fish and chips and my guests got a chicken sandwich and two burgers. We also got the pretzel appetizer with smoked Gouda that was delicious. They had a gluten free roll for my daughter which made her very happy. Everyone loved their sandwiches but I didn’t like my fish and chips. The hand cut fries and onion rings that went with my meal were awesome. They gave me a ton of fish but I didn’t like the taste of the oil it was fried in. They have a nice selection of draft beers as well as a big selection of cans and bottles. My daughter had one of their signature cocktails which she loved. They have many signature drinks to choose from. It’s on a golf course so there is plenty of parking to go with the views. Our waitress and our barmaid were great and very pleasant. A friend and I just ate dinner. We are both local and have dined there many times. Typically walking directly to the outside patio. We were rudely approached by the hostess stating we needed to go back inside and were not allowed to go out on the patio. We did not have a reservation. There was 1 other party outside when we arrived. The hostess (Macky), treated us as if we were putting her out by wanting to dine there. She had no personality or at least not a pleasant one. Never smiled! Our waitress (Sadie) was wonderful and attentive. By the time we left there were 2 or 3 other parties that were dining on the patio.
