My wife and I stopped in at Mema's while on a camping trip in Pennsylvania. The place mat on the table says "Home cooking...just like Mom used to make". I didn't think that would be the case since I have somewhat high expectations....but I was wrong. What we ordered at Mema's was terrific! I had a BBQ bacon burger with an onion ring on it. It was huge and tasted great! They also have the best coleslaw I've had in forever. It was finely chopped and tasted perfect. I used to go all the time with my gram but today when my husband and I went, the service was minimal, the food was good but seeing the cook touch raw food then cooked food bare handed and not washing in between unsettled me. There was a glass of what looked like milk sitting on the table next to us and had been there since we got there and was never picked up. We were there for about an hour. The silverware I got was dirty. The server was kind but never checked on us after serving us our food. Then proceeded to discuss personal stuff loudly. I’m just disappointed.
