BANANAS — Restaurant in Tionesta

We had 11 of us going out for ice cream. Had my family gone first, the other dad said we all would have left. Unfortunately, my children have Celiac disease and cannot eat WHEAT, malt, barley and rye. The servers did not know what that was and that is ok. The young girl was very willing to help me! However, she asked the man in the back who goes "All of our ice cream has WHEY in it!" At first I said, "Whey is ok. It's wheat that is not." The young girl was trying to get me the ingredient list when another server (older girl) goes, "All of our ice cream has wheat in it." I said that I doubted that was true because my kids can eat a lot of ice cream. She stated it again and was not willing to listen at all. To top if off...(I wish I took the picture) they have on their sign the Peanut butter cookies are GLUTEN FREE! So we tried to get 2 cookies. Nope. They are crushed up to put in the ice cream! Um. I think you need to do some research on this topic and actually understand what it is. There are a lot of people who are either celiac or gluten intolerant anymore. Please understand what you are selling, talking about. We walked next door to Dollar General and bought them each a pint of ice cream for $2, walked back to Bananas and...

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEIR "TAKEOUT" MENU!!! We called AHEAD to order from their "Takeout" menu. When we got there, we went to a side window to pickup our order. We were ready to pay for our food, but then a woman came to the window and said; "You have to wait in line with everyone else!" And not in a polite way EITHER! The line was as long as a Disney World ride, so there our food sat!!! By the time we were FINALLY able to pay, our food was soggy & cold! We TRIED explaining all of this to the woman at the window, but we were AGAIN told that "We had to wait in line with everyone else!" They just lost a repeat customer! Why have a TAKEOUT...

The cook is rude and when questioned gives a bigger attitude. But I seen it all when a customer asked for a banana spit this weekend and got it in a drink cup! Lmao the customer said I don’t think this is mine and was told with a attitude they don’t have any banana spit boats to put it in and they where out of bananas also. Lol and to top it off they charged her for a real banana split. How are you called bananas and are out of them? If you don’t like or don’t know how to do your job then find another one. What a joke!
