DOES NOT WEAR GLOVES MAKING FOOD.
Ok now to the full review.
Visual Appeal: Has an older look, with neon lights. blinds on one side of the wall but strangely not on both, and poorly placed for little sun block. baby blue paint EVERYWHERE with few scratches and no light fade. basic tan tables (not level). Chairs are blue with black tube support, comfortable though, two 28" flat screens with "do not touch" notes on them. Honestly visually a 5/10
Thoughts when I first walked in, small room, the waitress didn't greet us, we stood at the door for a couple seconds till we realized we had to seat ourselves, the waitress gave us a strange look and I couldn't tell you who she was due to no name tag and she didn't greet us properly even after we sat down. tables smell like they were washed with dirty towels. all in all poor first impression.
Ordering our food: Waitress had NO idea what anything on the menu looked like or where they were (maybe a new employee). But she didn't make any appeal to what we ordered. When asked why she didn't know the menu specifically said she's never eaten here. Didn't even take the menus after we were finished, had to move them to another table ourselves! 2/10 TERRIBLE service.
Getting the food: side salad was ordered, it was an appetizer of sorts, the lady called for who ordered it, when presented to our table, it was slapped on our table and then she immediately left. Next came the main course, everything looks average to the eye. The general taste of everything was mediocre. when plates were empty the waitress swiftly came to take them. Asked nicely if things were good, all around decent service. Steak was preferred at medium well and got well done. 4/10
Restroom: dim lit, greasy, no garbage bag in the trash can, felt like I was in a gas station restroom. could see from the restroom door to the kitchen, and clearly see all the employees working without gloves. The restroom sign was so small you had to squint to see it. 2/10
Conclusion: This place is hard to describe, you can't call it a family diner cause it didn't have a friendly feel and was extremely small, nor could it be a romantic restaurant because everything's open and no seclusion.maybe an uncomfortable diner if anything. Out of everything this place deserves no more then 2 stars. I'd rather eat at McDonald's then...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI like the food a lot, the fries are great, but the customer service isn't the best. They do not have enough employees to handle the restaurant if more than a couple customers come in at once. I waited 20 minutes for a simple carry out order and got home and half of my order was missing. I had to go back up there to get it and their response was, "You should have checked the bag before you left to make sure your food was in there." Really? I should've made sure? I think the cook and the waitress handling my order should have made sure. That really bothered me. I am a business owner, that's not how you do business, do not blame the customer for your error. Normally I would never eat at a place like that again, BUT, because they have good food and low prices, I will still order there. The owner needs to step it up and train his employees a little better. Also, the Arabic portion of the menu could be more authentic. A fattoush salad should have the following ingredients: Romaine LETTUCE (not iceberg!), lemon, olive oil, fried pita chips, SMALL diced cucumbers and tomatoes, finely chopped parsley and seasoning including sumac and salt, optionally garlic powder, onion powder and pepper. Fine diced mint leaves are also optional. Nothing more, nothing less. Leave out the HUGE chunks of veggies, no green peppers, no huge chunks of onions. The cucumber and tomato need to be cut much smaller. No-one makes fattoush like they do in Lebanon or Dearborn,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going there for awhile. Wanted to place takeout order and Maya, waitress, picked up the phone and I asked what her name was and she sarcastically asked mine and I told her I needed to place a take out order and she put me on hold. She never came back so I drove to the restaurant and ordered 1 small Greek salad with grilled chx and no peppers and no cukes and 1 small chef salad. Cortney was the cook. When I got back to the office I noticed there were no crackers. We both tried our salads and there was alot of bad brown lettuce on the bottom of the container where we did not see it until we dug down. The Greek salad onions were very strong and the chx was overcooked. My chef salad had bad hardboiled eggs and tomatoes. We threw the salads away. I tried to call back and ask for Steve, the owner. and they said he was not there. About a month ago I ordered a take out pepper jack burger and Cortney also cooked it. When I got it home and started eating it the bun was soggy and falling apart. A week later I let Steve know and he said he would take care of it but to date I have not heard back. There is always new help there and the girls that are there are very rude especially when answering the phone. We will not...
