China Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Tonkawa

This place was such an unexpected surprise! Upon entering the waiter greeted us immediately and instructed us to sit wherever we preferred. Soon after he took our drink orders and gave us menus and wiped down our table. Minutes later he came to take our orders. We ordered a lot expecting the food to be not that good, that way we had options and didn't leave hungry. We ordered 2 appetizers the spring rolls and fried shrimp. They both were delicious. We ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and an egg roll and a 3rd entrée of pork lo mein, everything on our plates were plentiful, hot, fresh and delicious! The service was fast and friendly. The place was packed, all but one table was full the entire time we were there! And amazingly there wasn't a "crowded feeling." Everyone seemed to know everyone. It was overall an upbeat, happy, delicious experience! All this for less than $50.00! We'll definitely make the trip...

Ordered sweet and sour chicken dinner with iced tea. Waiter brought the drink and cook brought the meal. There was only ONE piece of chicken on the plate but several pieces of breading which tasted of grease. Egg roll that came with the dinner was good as far as frozen egg rolls go. The rice was the most abundant and tasteful part of the meal. The waiter never came back to offer more tea or ask how the meal was. I watched the waiter clear three tables of dirty dishes but at no time did he wash the tables. He would wipe his hands after placing dirty dishes in a tub but he used a dirty rag he picked up off a booster chair then put the dirty rag back on the booster chair to use again. Definitely NOT worth the cost of the meal nor worth the risk to health for me to return to...

I myself didn’t care the Chicken broccoli rice ! The rice and chicken were ok and done ..not a bad flavor but my broccoli was so hard as a rock and was even hard to cut with the butter knife that I had to request . The owner or cook / waitress seen me struggling to try and eat it … no apologies and didn’t even bother to ask if I wanted a refund…Just gave me the excuse that the broccoli was hard because it was “OUT OF SEASON ” ?????? I paid the $12.35 and only ate the chicken some rice and fought to eat some raw broccoli … I won’t eat there again! Not a fan of raw broccoli 🥦 I expected my broccoli to...
