Tailgators Sports Pub & Grub — Restaurant in Topeka

A friend recommended that we come here, so thought we'd try it. I ordered a margarita and it was really good, so I was excited to try the food. We ordered breaded mushrooms for the appetizer, I got a mini burger without the bun, and my husband ordered the spicy burger, both with onion rings. It took over 20 minutes for the mushrooms to come out, and they were pretty much the same as everyone else's. When the main courses arrived, the burgers were overdone and dry. The onion rings were fresh, but again, pretty much the same as everyone else's. They weren't terrible but they weren't anything special, either, especially for the price. The atmosphere is very nice a relaxed and staff is friendly. The specials they have are also not to bad and it's a nice place to just hang out. They have a few bar games, including darts, and lots of screens with a decent mix of sports.

Food-wise, the prices are good and the food is okay. The stuff that I ordered wasn't amazing, but it was pretty standard pub grub. My husband ordered a brisket bbq sandwich that he liked quite a bit. The fountain type drinks were pretty large and were refilled very quickly.

I only go on Sundays to watch my NFL team play when it's not on national tv. So my review won't be of the typical bar night atmosphere, but here goes. On Sunday's all fans from all the NFL teams flock to Tailgators because they have great food, great prices, a very cozy atmosphere where you can root for your team with friends or family and just have a great time. They also have very clean restrooms, unlike alot of bars in Topeka. I have been coming to Tailgators on Sunday's the past 5 or 6 years now, and there's no other place...
