I dined in here tonight with my son and in-laws. My family-in-laws have been living here for years but have never tried this restaurant before. The restaurant serves free salad and soup. Today's soup was ham & pea, and surprisingly, there was so much ham in it. My mother-in-law and I ordered baked haddock and mashed potato with butter ranch on the side. We also had Spotted Cow beer. Other family members tried a fish sandwich with fries and a burger woth homemade chips, and everybody loved their food. Total of 2 lemonade, 3 bottles of beer and 2 baked haddock, 1 fish sandwich & 1 burger were $66 before tax. They even gave us free dessert because it was Friday. Very homey and welcoming atmosphere. I must admit, I was a bit apprehensive about this small town bar at first, but it took all but 5 minutes to feel at home.
Tom(?), the owner & bartender, was drinking, playing dice, and having fun. The local patrons were having a blast and many, many laughs were had.
A stranger all bought us a round of drinks.
Food was greasy and delicious! I highly recommend the BLT.
