My boyfriend and I went there three times. The first time we went there my boyfriend got a sandwich off the menu and being a vegetarian I really wanted a veggie sandwich. I looked at the menu and they obviously had all the ingredients to make a veggie sandwich so I asked if it was possible to make one and the front cashier said yea no problem! I was stoked since I just moved to the area and living ten minutes away to grab some fast/easy food is few and far between spots around here. The second time we went my boyfriend once again got a sandwich off the menu and I asked for a veggie sandwich with French fries again. This time it was a different cashier and she seemed a little unsure if that was a possibility. But eventually came back and said they could do a grilled cheese with veggies on it and I said sure. Even though it was a different sandwich it was still good, but this was the second time my boyfriend got a sandwich off the menu and was disappointed by it. Half of his sandwich was wet and soggy and he didn’t even finish it. The third time we went it was the same lady as the second time. My boyfriend decided to also do a veggie sandwich since mine was good both times, but this time when we asked for veggie sandwich’s the cashier lady made such a big deal out of it since it was something not on the menu. Said they could only do a sub and I said that’s fine we’ll do two toasted veggie subs and she was like oh I didn’t know you wanted it toasted I’ll have to check if that’s possible just huffing and puffing about it. I could tell that it was a big deal so I just said all good we don’t need them toasted. We ended up just getting one full sub to go cause we wanted to get out of there. She didn’t ask us if we wanted chips or fries and than didn’t say anything when we grabbed the sub to go. Being a waitress myself I just couldn’t believe they made us feel like such an inconvenience or a big deal for just a veggie sandwich. Wow Rude Deep Fried Tacos - A One-Star Disaster Let me tell you about my absolutely shocking experience with the deep-fried tacos at this place. Priced at a hefty $9.99, I was at least expecting some level of customization or basic customer service. Boy, was I wrong. I simply asked if it was possible to have the tacos without tomatoes, due to a preference. The response I received from the server was a blunt, dismissive "nope, we mix it in." Followed immediately by an impatient "What else you want..." Excuse me?! Is it really that difficult to omit a single ingredient? The attitude was appalling and frankly, incredibly rude. To be told so dismissively that a simple request couldn't be accommodated, and then rushed to order something else, was beyond unacceptable. Needless to say, I didn't order anything. And let me be crystal clear: I will absolutely not be returning to this establishment. Who makes tacos like that anyway? Mixing tomatoes directly into the filling of a deep-fried taco sounds like a recipe for a soggy, flavor-compromised mess. Yuck is right. They've clearly prioritized some bizarre, inflexible process over basic customer satisfaction. Save your $9.99 and your time. We wandered in off Hwy. 8 on a Sunday afternoon looking for lunch, and found this fantastic farm eats spot! We loved feeding the animals off the side of the parking lot and thought the exterior was decorated so nice. When we walked in — we weren't exactly sure where to go and didn't find anyone at the front register. We walked around to find a written sign that said to pay at the other counter, so we went looking for the other counter. Passed a few tables, we saw two teenage girls sitting behind the deli counter scrolling on their phones. We all deserve a break, and it was obvious they had a busy breakfast for the amount of dirty tables around the room; however, "clean, then lean" is a policy they may need. We loved the store retail items, and all the shop had to offer! Our lunch was hot and delicious, and the scones were fantastic!!! Will return just for them. Our service at the counter was pleasant and the customer service was friendly. Though we didn't initially understand to order at the counter — signage to direct patrons, like a standing chalkboard would be decorative and give direction. Even training to have staff say "Hello/Goodbye" when they hear the door. It's clear the love and time the owners/family have put in, and their staff should understand how important it is for small business. This...
