To be honest we were trying to go to Blink Bonnie’s first but they were closed. We are glad they were! I had been here years ago under the old management. The inside has the feel of a northwoods super club. The bar area is really nice. The restaurant has three levels I believe the downstairs may be for parties. We were greeted by Sam who was extremely friendly. While waiting for our table she engaged in friendly conversation. Once seated we did wait a tad long before our server Megan greeted us and took our drink order. I had a Wisco Old Fashioned and my friend had a Blood Orange Old Fashioned. Both were prepared exceptionally by Beth. The menu had a number of option with reasonable prices. Soup and salad are available in single or large portions. I ordered a filet with soup and salad and my friend had the soup and ribeye. We both got the onion and mushrooms with dinner. The soup, chicken and rice, was excellent. A basket of warm rolls arrived prior to our soup and salad. The rolls were a tad hard and I’m not sure if it was freshness or they were in the oven a tad too long but they were good. Both the fillet and ribeye were done perfectly and served hot. The onions and mushrooms were prepared with garlic and also excellent. Our server Megan was friendly and accommodating. She was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. We also had desert a tiramisu and I had some ice cream with butterfinger sprinkles. They were out of their cheesecake. Total time for dinner was roughly 1.5 hours. Overall great place with excellent food and friendly service. As a side note we did speak with two people next to us who were from Chicago who were raving about their Ribeye and overall meal as well. We will...
Read moreWe were there on Sunday and Audrey was our server. What a awesome place! The inside is very unique and comfortable! Our service was excellent! Audrey was very pleasant! Food was just sooo good! The filet and lobster my husband had and I stuffed walleye 👍!!! If you come to the Northwoods you HAVE to stop here!!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!! ZERO STARS except for waitress Christine 5 starsI now have a rebuttal, we were in there this evening and had our anniversary dinner and Christine our waitress was wonderful but our bill came and an add on lobster tail was 44.00 and menu said 28.00 I questioned it and waitress said it was a type o! Really? Fix it on the menu then but what happened next was just down right rude and disrespectful of I was told was the owners wife, dark hair , slit dress with tattooed leg came to our table and rudely stated our waitress should have told us and she took our bill to adjust and we gave her a 100.00 bill for change. She proceeded to scream out to waitress she would have to pay the difference and when she came back with our change threw it on table at my husband. This made our anniversary go down hill. I went up to her and told her don't ever throw money at my husband as it was rude and I'll never come back there again. She said ok and didn't care. What a way to run a business. I will never come back there again. Good luck if you do! Christine you were wonderful though! I just looked online and 6 oz lobster on menu is 28.00 well 2 tails they...
Read moreMarty's was within walking distance from where we were staying so we figured we'd give it a try. The atmosphere is great - the exterior and interior is a combination of old school supper club with a modern twist. Service was fair. Took almost 20 minutes to get a drink order in and appetizers ordered. One of our guests ordered an additional drink when dinner came out. The drink was finally brought out after we were done eating and ready to leave. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal - fries cheese curds and brussel sprouts were both solid choices. The meal itself was the low point of our dinner. We came for the ribs and broasted chicken special on Sunday night. Disappointed for $48 a head. Ribs were ok but had way too much sauce on them. All of us would have given the chicken a negative star if possible. Terribly dry and burnt. The couple at the table next to us even commented on how happy they were that they didn't order the chicken after looking at ours when it was brought to our table. We also had a side order of orzo with pork belly. The orzo had the same seasoning as the brussel sprouts (an Asian vinegarette) which did not match up well with the orzo and the pork bellies were almost non-existent. It looked like someone took a teaspoon of bacon bits and mixed them in. The group we came with are not fussy eaters at all, but when only 4 pieces of chicken out of 12 were eaten,...
