Auction Barn Restaurant — Restaurant in Town of Argyle

Terrible, not sure how else to describe service and food. I’m still flabbergasted on how this lunch went down. I ordered a plain cheeseburger cooked medium with fries crispy and a Mt. Dew. Seems pretty simple. The soda remained sitting on the soda machine till after food arrived and had to ask again for it. The burger was 2x’s past well done so after the first bite that was not gonna get eaten. The crispy fries were mushy and slightly cold in the center. Far from crispy or done. After not eating hardly anything the nice waitress asked if I needed anything else. Once I informed her of the issues she offered to not charge me for the food and would only charge for the soda! Never once offering to remake it properly or could I offer you something else nothing. I paid the bill which she apologized for it not being right but when I said “it’s not your fault you didn’t cook it but now I have to go find somewhere else to get something for lunch” she once again didn’t offer to remake or ask if there is something else I would like. Unbelievable how bad there customer...

So we read about how great the food was and always drove by but never stopped. Sat down and noticed the dots art work and I sent a message to our friends Frank and Diane .and we told her about the dots and she told us our neighbor Dorthy was the dot artist . We laughed that what a small world we live in . Had a wonderful time with three ladies who asked to share a table with us . And Tom was so nice and the food was wonderful. Then we fine out Dorthy and Tom are related. This can only happen in the North Country . Gotta love it. Thanks can't wait to meet and greet at the next...

This has got to be one of the best little hometown feel restaurants I've ever seen and been to. The buffet table is cute for the early birds and the one lady makes her own meatloaf from her own recipe and it is probably even better than my moms which is almost impossible to do, but somehow shes done it and it Tastes like home. The prices are decent and cheap and the portions are huge. It's like a hole in the wall in the middle of nowhere but hopefully you dont drive past cause youd be missing out on a great meal and...
