Main Street variety — Restaurant in Town of Argyle

I will admit. I grew up on really delicious pizza that was mostly made by Italians immigrants. So, I tend to be picky about pizza. With that send, I just can't find a really good pizza within the Greenwich area. Greenwich and Schuylerville often serve bland pizza, which has bread like crust that is often overcooked or undercooked. Just not my favorite type of pizza.

We recently went, for the first time, to Main Street Variety to try their pizza. I have to say, it was really good. I like the thinner more traditional crust, but not so thin that it can't be picked up. I also like a robust tasting sauce, and theirs wasn't bad. They did NOT skimp on the sauce, or the cheese, or the toppings (plenty of each ingredient) and it was cooked just right. If you like Parmesan on your pizza, just ask them and they'll give you a custard cup of cheese. Also, boned in chicken wings were ordered, I didn't eat them, but those that did devoured them right up.

So finally, we have a local restaurant that serves up a good tasting pizza. If you order a beer, they will give you an ice cold frosty mug to go...

I really enjoyed the pizza, it’s a thin crust pizza that had the perfect amount of cheese and sauce ratio, and it has a really good flavor to it (parmesan, and herb)

The wings were a steal! The wings themselves were huge, and the flavor for them were great! I got barbecue and hot, the barbecue was very sweet and tangy, and the hot.. sometimes when I get hot from other pizza places it’s more mild than hot. The best part about the wings aside from the nice flavor is the price point. They are priced very aggressively, some places are charging in the 20s for 12 wings (shortage)

It cost me around $44 for the Pizza and 2 orders of wings, which is a really good deal!

The building is easily accessible, and it is very clean

Folks let me tell ya, I had the BEST meatball sub tonight that I have ever had in my life. I highly recommend it. All the food is great from the breakfast sandwiches, pizza , wings. To the many delicious small town " home cooked meals " that you could possibly want for specials. Each day, something new . Sooo good. Great talent in the kitchen. If you are lucky enough to grab a piece of the chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting, you won't be disappointed. There is no way to post a pic or I would. Check out...
