Sandpiper Inn — Restaurant in Town of Ashford

My boyfriend and i went to try the place out and when we got in we waited for sometime at the hostess table and i guess you have to order there so i felt rushed without looking at the menu for long. Then she said she will get us when the table is ready... we thought maybe some cleaning of the tables because of covid. So we went to the bar to sit and ordered some drinks... i got an amaretto sour. The lady behind the bar was looking for 10 min for the amaretto and then came over and asked if i wanted something else so i told her Malibu and pineapple juice. Then magically they found a new bottle of amaretto and made me my drink which was made wrong. She open poured the drink and then put pineapple juice on top ... it was strong and not the right ingredients in it ..never told me my bill for my drink and a beer... i probably could have got 2 free drinks if i didnt ask her. We had sat at the bar for almost an hour because we couldn't go sit at our table. Finally we get told our table was ready and gave us the table number and we had to find our table ourselves. I dont think ill ever go back to that place again..! I told my boyfriend that the cafe in eden makes a better chicken sandwich then this place did and would have gotten...

Horrible horrible service. The food is good but not worth it. We ordered all you can eat fish and each had two pieces of fish. When we asked for more it took 15 minutes for our waitress to tell us they were out. We watched them continue to serve more people fish after they told us they were out. When we asked to pay less they brought us out more fish. We had stopped eating 30 minutes ago by this time we were no longer hungry. After waiting another 15 minutes the owner came out and would not give us a discount. We should’ve had at least 3 dollars discounted off of each meal (that was what the price difference was for not all you can eat) and were not. The pieces of fish were TINY and we barely got any. We will never return. Not only did we not get what we ordered for, our waitress was rude and eyerolled when we asked for simple things like more napkins. It was just HORRIBLE service. Ever since the new owner came in I’ve had nothing but horrible experiences! I’m sure all the good reviews on here are from when the old owner was still running...

Boy they have great food, but they are selective who they serve well. Took an hour and they served 4 people in front of me who arrived after me, which they know turns the stomach on a long wait, its 5 theres the same amount of people as a 4 and im ordering what the masses order. Baked potatoe and deep fried special. Usually the old fashions are good, but i guess if you are young and have the potential to support them for the next idk 4 decades.....idk choose your battles. Maybe its the moon, covid. But serve in order its rude. I will take my 50...
