I showed up without reservation and they told me I would have to eat a tabletop I'd I did not want to wait 45 minutes. 15 minutes later were seated in the dining room! The wait was probably 10 minutes before we got bread on the table. which was a little long.. the menu was easy to read and not to much that you get overwhelmed. The dining room had some odd artwork and a mirror. I would suggest better choices. The kitchen was not viewable but where they came out was and you could see storage and boxes that took away from feeling fancy. The plates and glasses were heavy and nice. I dont care for white table clothes, the table looked a bit gross afterward with a few spots where sauce got. The waitress was super nice and made you feel at home. She gave the impression she's been there a long time, and checked on the appropriate amount of time. We order steak and chicken entrees that each had some positive and negatives. The 20 0z strip was cooked as ordered and they asked immediately if I liked the steak. The plating lacked imagination and was a steak on a plate with juices with mushrooms on top. The mushrooms were the down fall.. they tasted unwashed and like they were just picked from the ground, so I pushed them to the side. The steak was good, but not great. It was underseasoned a tad. The chicken was really good and had better presentation but still a 3 out of 5. It tasted a little over seasoned, but fine to eat. They did bring me over a desert menu they brought over a whole tray with their entire menu and let us look at like we were wegmans bakery. It made me think that the deserts were not being freshly made or even ordered elsewear and chilled in their cooler. The waitress wrapped up are food for us to go and we did not have to which I though was very nice! Overall, a restraunt that is good not great based of this experience. You wont leave feeling disappointed though, and the...
Read moreOver the years, I had multiple people recommend this place and rated it as one of the best restaurants for Italian food in the Rochester region. IT'S NOT!
Our appetizer of Artichoke French came out with our meal. ( Disappoing but understandable due to the large party they had). What isn't understandable is why the 4 (one artichoke cut in 1/4) piece of fried artichokes was floating in the lemon wine sauce.
The Chicken French that the member of our party order was also swimming in the sauce.
My wife ordered a half portion of the rigatoni Alfredo. The sauce will stick and tasted jarred. I ordered Linguine with Carbonara. I'm pretty sure they use the same Alfredo sauce and added bacon to the top as a garnish.
When the waiter stop over to check on how our food tasted, reluctantly I express I'm concern over the amount of sauce on the "French" dishes. He said he will let the team know and walked away. 10-15 minutes later another member of the wait staff returned to see if we wanted any to go boxes.
We waited another 10 minutes after our plates were removed for them to bring our checks and 5 minutes before the hostess came over to process the payment.
After leaving the waiter that dropped our check on the table had the nerve to run out the restaurant follow us to the car asking we we were going to pay. I explained to him the hostess already processed the payment and he can see it by the sign copies left behind.
Expensive, lack luster food and service.

Read moreHands down the best Italian restaurant. Portions were huge! To start we had the sicilia calamari. Cooked perfectly with the perfect light batter and amazing sauce on the side. I liked that they chopped the olives and peppercini's because a little goes a long way. I was able to get a piece in every delicious bite. Dinner I had seafood alfredo. Hands down the best homemade cheese sauce I have ever had. It had just enough hint of white wine that married so well with the savory cheese sauce. Don't get me started on the seafood that was cooked perfectly. Melt in your mouth. My fiance had the chicken parm. He's reviewing right now and it was amazing. Chicken was huge and so so tender. At the end we definitely needed boxes and wanted t bring outer few slices of bread with us. The busser was so delighted we came such a long way she brought us out a full loaf and packed it up for us. How sweet and the perfect end to the night. No room for dessert although they looked amazing. My fiance and I have been wanting to try this out for some time now so we went out there to celebrate 8 years together. We live an hour away and it was worth the trip. I know we will make the trip many more times. If I had to say anything to improve, I'd say get rid of the packaged butter for the bread and serve some whipped butter. But seriously, the food was so good, I could care less about those little packaged butters. This is what a real Italian restaurant is folks! Now back to...
