Food was overpriced and not a good portion size for what you pay. Large fritaille was $26 and small was $20. The platter should have been served with atleast 1 full-sized sausage, the restaurant gave me less than half a sausage in each platter. The professionalism and customer service was poor. The person taking my order didn’t know the prices. He had to keep going to the kitchen to check the prices. I wanted two orders but the woman in the back assumed I only wanted one. She finally came from the back and asked me , “What is it that you want.” I felt she was very rude and unprofessional. The food gave me stomach pain all night and it was a waste of $55. Their pikliz pepper was not fresh. I believe the restaurant was culturally biased towards me because I didn’t speak Creole. I told the gentleman my meal preferences of what to include in my plate and he assumed I didn’t want certain things in my plate because I didn’t know what they were. He said, “Ok, you don’t want what you don’t know.” I should have just walked out and got something else but I already placed the order and I wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. This is my second time eating from this restaurant. I wasn’t pleased the first time and I certainly will not be returning. After cooking so long during quarantine I wanted to treat myself but I truly regret deciding to buy dinner here. Do yourself a favor and cook your own food or go somewhere else where your business is...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst experience ever. I went here because I was in town and I am Trinidadian descent. So when I googled restaurants nearby I automatically wanted to try this place out. First off I waited approximately 45 mins to be served when there was only 3 customers ahead of me. I had a chance to look at the food. Didnt see the mac n cheese so I asked if they had mac n cheese before I wait. the woman said yes we do. So i see the picture of the mac and cheese and i ended up waiting an additional 30 mins. The lady was by her self and clearly couldn't multi task cause when someone spoke to her she completely froze up. Here comes a woman from the back to add rice to a mostly full tray. Most restaurants would switch it out not pile fresh food on top of old food. I should have left after seeing this. But no I wanted to get this nearly 5 star food. So the second lady goes to the back to most likely do something unproductive. I would go on and on about how poorly managed this place is but their is a simple fix.have 1 or 2 people serving the food and one person at the register.and get rid of all the presets the hitting the name of dishes. That only works on touch screens. So after 45 mins of me waiting and asking nicely I finally get helped. Only to be half helped. Clearly the workers cannot multitask. Anyway the mac and cheese wasn't good the veggie thing was good and whatever rubber like meat was horrible. I will not ever...
Read moreon 3/4/21 I had a bad experience with the restaurant I ordered from Uber eats 3 large meals. I only received 2 instead of reporting it. I called the restaurant to talk about the missing food. The owner was very rude to me on the phone, and told me I have a lot of customers to come pick it up. Now this was at 7:45pm. I got ready put my baby in the car I arrived at 8:15 the store says close at 9pm. The lights were off doors close I called same guy ( the owner) pick up and said “I’m closed you took too long where are you?” I said I’m in the back store parking lot he said “come in”but before he hung up he said in Creole which I speak fluently “she’s here in the back let her come in so I can see her face” I’m in shock of what I heard I went to the front of the store so he can see my face I confronted him in Creole never judge a book by it’s cover you never know who can understand you. He was shock that I can speak Creole very clearly. I may look Spanish but I speak Creole. I have ordered from them since I moved to Suffolk 3 years ago. I’m very disappointed with the...
