What a hidden gem!

Let me start by saying that my group of friends have stayed in cabins and fished all over the upper Midwest. From South Dakota to Ohio. This is right up there with the best of the best.

Michele is a delight and very easy to work with and accommodating. The cabins were very clean and supplied with everything you could imagine while still giving you the Northwoods feel and charm.

Lac Courte O'reilles is a BEAUTIFUL lake, and while the fishing wasn't great for us this time around it was still a great place to be out on the water.

The bar/restaurant was top notch. Food was hot, fresh, and delicious and the beer was cold. What a treat to have something that nice so close to the cabins. Bartender Jake treated us like family and we looked forward to seeing him there every time we walked into the bar that week (which was was frequently). He's a huge asset to the resort.

A storm rolled through and the owners were out picking up sticks and cleaning up bright and early the next morning. You can tell they really care about their resort and it shows!

Have been a few times and always have issues with the quality of food except for their burger which was great. Lastnight was a plus/minus because the quality of service from a business perspective was not great... ordered buffalo wings and when we received them they were completely soggy, I asked if they could make new ones to be crispy and have sauce on the side and apparently our waitress was told no...now that’s disappointing to not try to redeem quality with a customer nor did they offer to take it off our bill seeing I did not eat them so I graciously paid for them and boxed them up, figures they would be crispy after I take them home and bake them. The view is great right on Lac Courte Oreilles Lake. We were there at 7pm and it wasn't crowded. Food is all freshly prepared there, and the meats are all smoked on site. Hand cut fries were good. Fish Fry special on a Wednesday night was delicious. Super delicious homemade tater sauce and coleslaw has cranberries in it. Pastrami was good, except don't order if you don't like alot of fat as it's not your typical Reuben sandwich, which then would've been exellent. Also upgrade to the fries unless you like simple Ruffles type potato chips, kinda made the meal feel cheap and it wasn't in taste or price. Plenty of food you won't...
