Dave's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Batavia

While my friend,mom and I were eating there having a wonderful night we had the worst experience of customer service i've ever experienced. My mom and I have gone there for years from Albion and I will never come back again. We were told by a staff member that they locked the door and closed at 9:30 (which maybe she missed spoke) so when we were ready to leave to let her know. Remind you this was at 8:30 the doors were locked and they already started to clean around us. At around 8:45 this girl yells with an attitude behind the counter "hey we close at 9 and thats like literally now or in 10 minutes so if you can finish up and leave". Mind you there was no bad interaction on our end that this attitude would have been justified. While another girl was trying to unlock the door while we left we told them we will not be back because of this girls attitude. That is when the girl got louder and said "No no no"which i yelled back "you have an attitude problem". While walking out she came from around the counter still yelling. While leaving my friend and I honked to one another to say goodbye. My friend told me the woman pulled out her phone came up to the window and started recording her. I've seen many reviews about bad experience but I still continue to go even though I've experienced attitude many times but never to this degree. I do not at all recommend going here I will not recommend anyone I know to go here and I will not be back there again. There are many other ice cream places around Batavia and I would recommend...

The nasty attitudes, and overall immaturity I’ve experienced from these girls is the reason why tonight will be the first and last time I patronize Dave’s Ice Cream.

The business closes at 10 pm, and arrived to the location at 9:52 pm. I thought I was too late to get ice cream, but saw that they were serving two Caucasian women. However, as the two women sat down, I saw some of the workers make eye contact with our vehicle, before one quickly removed the napkin dispenser from the ledge and shut the window—as if she was on a mission. I was confused and found it strange because they literally just serve two people a min ago!

I sped walk to the window, and stood there a bit—before knocking. They had the audacity to act like they didn’t see me! But one finally looked up in annoyance before mouthing “we’re closed.” I was quite taken aback but was disgusted at that point, so I walked away. My mom was also taken aback at this, and preceded to the window—especially after one of the nice ladies said “They aren’t closed! They just served us! They have 10 more mins.”

As I watched from the car, their smiles disappeared but they also refused to open the window for my mother. It was only after 4 mins or so, that one girl did but had major attitude—especially from this this mixed chick and one of the blonde skinny one. Seemingly, their night was”ruined” that they had to serve an ice cream cone to me. I am...

We will NEVER be going back there again! My friends and I were treated horribly by one of the staff members there tonight. One worker got very aggressive with us. We were enjoying our ice cream when one girl came over and let us know that they were closing at 9:30 [maybe she misspoke] so we thought we had more time to hang out and catch up. In the middle of our laughter another girl from behind the counter yelled with an attitude across to us that they close at 9 and they still needed to mop [even though they had already started to clean] {cross contamination} so we needed to finish up and leave because “we close like literally now,” she said mind you this was at was 8:50. Also they locked the main entrance around 8:30 so we were being verbally attacked while locked in [habeas corpus]. When we spoke up [freedom of speech] and said we would not be coming back [because of how she treated us she started yelling even louder and started moving toward us. So after they finally unlocked the door we proceeded to leave. This is when she started recording us and our vehicles with no permission from us of coarse. I don’t know pretty crazy to me. Makes me think not everyone is cut out for customer service. This all could have been avoided if we were treated like humans and approached properly.
