We've been going there for the past year and a half or so. The fish fry is top notch as are the weekly specials and burgers at the bar are amazing. That said, service has been going downhill. Wait staff seems to come and go. People, including us, have waited for 10 minutes for a waitress to show up at the table at 4:25PM with no crowd. We did get a our drink order in and food order finally, then waited 35 minutes with no food arriving. Waitress apparently held onto our food order for over 16 minutes before placing it into the kitchen. After being there over 40 minutes still no food, while others who arrived 20 minutes after we did, were getting their food. We were told by another snippy waitress that our food order was only placed 12 minutes ago after waiting nearly 40 minutes. Why did our waitress carry our food order around for some 16 minutes before placing it?
There are some very nice wait staff, one older gent, one or two efficient and polite women waitresses, and then there are two or three you should hope you do not get. Either speak too fast, don't listen to what you are ordering and have to start all over or just kind of pushy and rude. Then there are one or two who should not be waiting on tables. Slow, forget things , like carrying around your food order for 16 minutes before getting it into que for the kitchen to prepare. Excuses were made that it "got busy", but other people who arrived 20 minutes after us were getting served their food.
Sad to have written this. We had really come to like Boundaries, but something is amiss here lately. Do not understand that there appeared to be at least 5 or 6 wait staff on the dining floor and service was...
Read moreWe were there last night for a birthday dinner for a family member, 3 of us ordered the 2 piece chicken dinner which is supposed to have a breast. We got a tiny thigh and a tiny wing. Now that happens to be my absolute favorite is their chicken but lastnight not so much. Our waitress was wonderful! After dinner we stayed, played the machines, ordered drinks, the dining room and bar had completely cleared out by then except for our group of 8. There were a couple of our friends there and one had for sure drank too much. His buddy had stopped drinking almost 2 hours before and also had eaten during that 2 hours. He was fine to drive. The bartender cut them off around 9:30. Before that she told us my niece couldn't be in the bar after 9. Which I understand that rule, but we were there for dinner earlier. There were plenty in our party that may have had 1 or 2 beers and 2 that only drank pop. That's fine that group left. Then came the cutting off of the others. The rest if us left with those 2. We had everything handled. We went to another bar. Found out that your bartender called about not only the 2 she cut off but also us..im sorry but I was not intoxicated and neither was my husband. Last I checked, once patrons leave you are no longer responsible for them, and as far as I saw he was well on his way when we arrived and the bartender. Hannah I think kept serving him. So for her to call a different place was way out of line. We will continue to eat there but as far as the bar is concerned, no thanks. She will chase people away with...
Read moreBoundaries has good food and usually outstanding service. Last night was slightly disappointing. I ordered my food and my server informed me that there was an up charge of $1 for a baked potato. I asked when this started? He replied within the last couple of weeks. I thought an additional dollar was outrageous. I normally order the baked potato for two reasons, one I like them, 2 they are served piping hot! So I ordered the potato wedges instead. That's where I was disappointed. They were cold. Cold fries is something that happens about 90% of the time. Apparently the wedges died in the window while waiting for my food to finish cooking. Everything else in the meal was excellent! I took note of the cold soggy wedges and determined that there were approximately the same amount of wedges as a baked potato would be for it's size. So that begs me to ask, "Why the up charge?" Then to add to my frustrations, a different wait person taking an order near my table never told that table that there was an up charge for ordering a baked potato. Of the 6 diners at that table, 3 ordered the baked. And yet at another table of 4, more baked potatoes were ordered and it wasn't mentioned again that there was an up charge. Why is that? Is the dollar for the sour cream? I do not understand! Signed - Steamed over Baked Potato PS, your menu states, "served with choice of potato". It does NOT state "up charge" for...
