I didnāt review this place close to 2 years ago when we first tried to go⦠we couldnāt get a table at all⦠it was just the two of us and all the free tables were for 4 and up and the attitude from the hostess was a little frosty when we asked about just occupying a 4 person table⦠left and went somewhere elseā¦. Fast forward to last weekend⦠a 180 degree turnaround from the first time⦠smiles all round, very accommodating for a large party with no reservationsā¦
Our server was definitely on the ball, checked on the table frequently but not overly. Awesome selection of beers. All the food was absolutely fantastic. Everybody was very pleased with their meals. Atmosphere is šÆā¦ mellow but cool vibe and the view is š„š„š„. Prices did not break the bank and I felt every cent was justified.
I just want to say it was quite possibly the best burger Iāve had in a very long timeā¦. Cooked to perfection, definitely not just ground chopped meat thrown on the grill⦠it was lightly seasoned and a blend of different cuts with a fantastic flavor⦠just enough caramelization on edges of the paddy. The bun I think was brioche and it was definitely buttered, seasoned and thrown on the flat top to get that slight crispiness to the surface⦠the bacon was thick cut and crispy⦠I went with cheddar cheese⦠and it wasnāt overloaded with it it and running all over the place⦠a slice or a slice and a half⦠just right⦠all the condiments perfectly fresh. Iām sure this will sound over the top and ridiculous but I love food that much so later that night I was still thinking about how good the burger was and I kept thinking about that movie the menu and in the end where the chef cooked a cheese burger and all I could think is⦠that the burger I had was probably better than that one!
I dropped the ball and didnāt take any pics⦠doesnāt matter anyway⦠theyād pale in comparison to just going there and enjoying the night with friends and family and having some great food and drinks right on the lake with an awesome view!
Right onššlocal table and tap⦠Iāll be coming back for sure⦠you guys are awesome!!!
and again⦠sorry for not taking any pics, I was tired and not thinking right⦠definitely got woken up by how great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I are always looking to support local establishments bc we love to eat well and laugh often. This place was just the right spot on a very gloomy Saturday evening.
We were a little disappointed a few weeks ago when they were closed and left a note on the door saying they were closed for a few days. They have to make sure next time they update the website bc it was unfortunate we were hungry and couldnāt order anything. BUT MOVING ON!!!
The Beet Salad with Bibb Lettuce is a salad you have to eat with the addition of a fork. I wouldāve liked the lettuce to have been cut in smaller ribbons potentially. It was a little difficult to include a piece of everything without the assistance of a knife. It was extremely flavorful with the goat cheese and balsamic complementing the golden beets well. I enjoyed it.
The ShoeString fries with Parm Truffle Oil were spot on. I ask for their bbq sauce that reminds me of a more tangy sweet n sour sauce. Iām sure the togarashi option would also be a hit. I keep that seasoning in my cabinet. The Brussel sprouts are good. The Mac n Cheese is nothing special. I feel they couldāve seasoned the mornay sauce a little bit more.
I am a hard cider aficionado and the cider I tried was DELICIOUS. It was spiced I believe and not to sweet but light crisp and subtle. I had one on my own and then my husband and I split one. He also had a 1911 hard cider that didnāt do anything for me.
The Dirty Truth pizza was very good. I think it could do without the arugula on top. The Aged White Cheddar and Roasted Garlic are the clear winners here.
Try this place for some nice local fare and flare. This restaurant will be added to my rotation of small delightful local favorites.
Eat and drink here if you get a chance! Highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOur group of friends had a reservation of 6 people for 6:30pm on Monday at this restaurant. When we came to a restaurant, at exactly 6:30pm, we noticed that the place was busy, which is very nice for Monday night. We were met by a hostess and after we said that we have a reservation, she checked her book and whispered "oh shoot". We understood that probably they forgot about our reservation, which I understand, sometimes confusions happens on a busy night, however We were shocked with the following responses from the restaurant team. Hostess said: "we sat table who came before you, so we wont have a table for you, you have to wait around 30-40 min". I said, wait a min, we are reservation, not walk-in group, then her response was "nothing I can do, we accommodated other people" I asked to speak with a manager. That was a joke. Young gentlemen showed up, did not introduce himself(even after I introduced myself) and with the smile said" I am sorry, all tables are busy, even if I sit you, you ll wait for 30-40 min because kitchen is backed up! And if you are not satisfied with my response, sorry, nothing I can do! Nothing! I am in hospitality business for over 7 years, and never heard ANYTHING LIKE THAT. If owner of this restaurant reads this review, I am very sorry you have such management representing your place. Embarrassing. Not even offer of round of drinks while we are waiting, no apology or a try to make us stay. Simply no care. We of course left, without arguing. I get there is no other places around open on Monday, but it would be much more pleasure to spent time elsewhere rather then going to this restaurant. Food does not matter at this point, because you don't have a chance to try it. Thanks to...
