The Dairy Barn — Restaurant in Town of Big Flats

I haven't been to the Dairy Barn in a very long time (about 10 years) so I decided to stop when in town visiting family. I was very excited to try the Texas Hots which are a very competitive food in the region. They were more on the spicy side which some might find refreshing compared to some hotdogs in the area that make you wonder where the spice went. Although not typical of this area, they were very good and reminded me of why they are called Texas "hots." The food was perfectly portioned and they were not skimpy on the cheese for the fries which is rare these days. My husband enjoyed his cheeseburger and we both enjoyed the fries which had a nice crispy texture. We were thrilled to find White Lightening ice cream which is a very rare flavor of Perry's! If you get a chance, definitely stop in and try out...

Its been almost 25 years since I've been here! Still (almost) the same. They used to have the BEST bubblegum ice cream, that was my favorite. But this time we got toasted coconut & one scoop cookie dough & one grasshopper pie. And fried oreos on the menu?! Are you KIDDING ME. Hit the duck machine a few times, got a couple double wins. We will be back for more oreos for sure. Great service. Helpful staff, retro gaming tube and duck machine are cool. Produce stand...

Very nice facility! Clean, with ample seating- you can sit in the shade or out in the sun. Parking wasn't an issue, either.

Service is very well organized, and quick. It only took about 5 minutes from the time we placed our order until we were sitting down and eating.

Food wasn't bad at all- excellent portions for the money, in fact, I believe that there was more food than I actually needed.

Bonus- after eating, there is an ice cream joint right...
