Western House — Restaurant in Town of Big Flats

The food was pretty good. I had won a raffle basket that contained a gift certificate,buy one get one free Friday fish dinner. The gift certificate was given to the waitress when she brought the bill. She said she would have to refigure it, so she left the room and spoke with the owner. The owner was overheard saying that now he had to deal with a customer who wasn't happy about the $2.95 ATM charge. That wasn't the issue. The issue was that they wouldn't honor the gift certificate because after the waitress brought it back, we destroyed it so no one else could try to use it. The waitress never said she needed it back. After trying to explain this to the owner, we ended up just paying the bill and leaving because the owner and some of his bar patrons were getting upset and belligerent. Food was not hot including the taco salad that was ice cold and pre made pretty sure not by them. The lady was by herself trying to serve people at the bar and cook our food but this was worse then fast food. Barely any fries with the meals and no toppings offered on burgers. The food tasted horrible as well. Fries were plain and all fried food was falling apart because of how saugy it was. Do not get the tuna sandwich as it had about only a teaspoon of tuna in it. Steak sandwich just tasted like straight up grease and was very thin steak. Worst place I’ve ate at up here and wish we just went to MO’s but wanted to give them a try. Don’t go here for food. It's a small place and I imagine it fills up quickly. Half the dining room was full and the only sound was a customer cussing at the bar, conversing with the bartender. Some sort of background music would've been nice. This definitely felt like a tavern that serves food, compared to a restaurant with a bar. Both the waitress & bartender were friendly and welcoming.
