Lazy Bear Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Broadalbin

We drove from Glenville to try out this place because I heard the food was delicious...let's say this place did not disappoint! We went on a Saturday night when they had a dinner special and live music. We got the pulled pork dinner and it came with little herb buttery potatoes, coleslaw, baked beans and sweet corn. This was the best BBQ take out we have had in a long while. The pulled pork was amazing and tender...the sauce was to die for, (I wish they sold it by the pound to take home) the baked beans also had some pork in them which was also very yummy. They give you very large portions...I was full and happy for sure! It was nice eating outside and listening to music from the band playing there. Everyone there were super nice, helpful, and friendly! They definitely treat you like family and make sure your time there is enjoyable. My husband and son got some ice cream on our way out and my son said his banana ice cream was his favorite! It's totally worth the drive and its a nice ride! I can’t recommend this place enough!!

We stopped in for ice cream last Saturday afternoon and wound up staying until dark and also getting dinner here. We are looking forward to next Saturday for a repeat.

Ice cream was great, with generous portions.

The BBQ combos were excellent. Between everyone in our party we tried most things on the menu. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. No complaints even from our pickier eaters.

The atmosphere was perfect. Something for everyone. Three generations of us just having a great time playing games, eating, listening to the surprisingly good live music.

Best of all had to be the staff. Family owned and they were obviously passionate about what they do.

If you are in the area, and even if you aren’t, stop in and experience a Saturday at lazy bear ice cream! Or any day...

We heard great things about this place and wanted to check it out. My big family decided to try the weekend specials which were Steak, Salmon and Chicken. All were delicious! The portions were generous and we were gifted some soup which was also tasty. There is a large selection of ice cream options but I wish they had soft serve which is my favorite. The people are friendly and present a welcoming and comfortable environment. We live close enough to hear their live music shows but I’d recommend this spot even if you have to...
