The only good thing about this place is the view of the water. Below it even looks run down with poorly maintained landscaping and the total eye sore of what used to be a tennis court. We had 7p reservations and did not get our dinner until 8:50pm and this was after multiple requests AND with two young children. The restaurant had THREE total tables being occupied including ours so they were not busy. The food, for the price was not good. Mashed potatoes tasted of just that, no flavoring at all, literally just tasted like potatoes. The ribeye tasted like it came from Walmart. Dylan was our server and she did not do well. We had to remind her of requests multiple times and never even got things at all. When we did finally get or food, it was cold and Dylan argued with me about the pasta sauce served on my 2yo’s bowl of pasta that was spicy saying it was not. My daughter literally coughed with every bite until she refused to eat it anymore which was after about 3 bites because she was starving. I tried it and it absolutely had a spice to it. The only reason we even mentioned it was to make her aware and suggest that maybe she forewarn parents of young kids that the sauce has spice to it before ordering. When we were leaving I actually heard her tell the other table who was getting dessert who also asked for coffee that “sorry, I already dumped it”. I’m sorry but IMO if you are a paying guest ordering dessert and want coffee, the nice thing to do would be to make another pot. It’s an actual shame bc the view is so well but the food and service were not good at all. Will never return unless Lombardi’s takes the...
Read moreWe’ve been dining at restaurants in this location since before Lombardis’s. It has always been a pleasure. The view, the food, the service all were excellent. We started off this visit Saturday evening intending to head straight through to deck outdoors which is always first come for tables. There is a sign saying to check in with hostess. Manager stops us with an attitude telling us to checkin with hostess inside. I explain we thought sign meant outside hostess. If possible his attitude got worse as he said he didn’t have one outside. Okay, no excuse to be rude to customers. Nice waiter, took orders for drinks, appetizers, etc. My filet mignon came out well done instead of medium. I show the waiter who apologizes & takes it back. Took forever to get replacement (I really should have timed it) my husband was done with his big steak. Same rude manager brings my dish and proceeds to tell me I should in the future cut my steak in the middle instead. I cut 1 inch into a 4 inch steak, so basically according to his opinion half of a $45 steak overcooked is acceptable. Waiter apologized multiple times. Our bill was around $300 for 2 people. No offer of anything to compensate. Mgr obviously thought it was my fault. I know this is new ownership, Danfords’s was sold, new staff, kinks to work out, possibly short staff, wedding going on. All good excuses. Being rude multiple times to a customer…there...
Read moreWent on a Sunday night, they said we have a buffet. I said we would like to do Ala carte hostess said ok we will sit you outside. WaItress came and only gave us cocktail menus and asked what we would like to drink, stated a drink comes with the buffet. My wife and I had date night so we just stayed and said how bad could it be. The buffet was all pasta and cheap dishes, the food was cold with no sterno’s underneath and could tell it had been sitting out for hours. (We showed up at 5pm) Was advertised as a steak house with fish it had no steak and one pasta dish with muscles. Left very disappointed every drink came with a brown rotten lime. We would never go back. Checked the website they never advertised they do a Sunday buffet and don’t actually serve food. Don’t bother the food and drinks were terrible. Never saw a place serve a buffet on a Sunday night and the lack of people there showed how...
