George's Lounge — Restaurant in Town of Buffalo

I went to visit a Marine Corps brother of mine during a reunion. There were about 12 of us. One evening we went to George’s. We walked in, picked an empty section of the bar and started ordering drinks. We hadn’t even been served yet and a woman in a pink hat behind the bar came raging and screaming at us to get out. She was putting hands on guys, and then her boyfriend came over and started trying to start a fight. It was really weird. We couldn’t even get our jackets or anything. It wasn’t last call and all the local guys were still allowed to drink. I don’t recommend the place if you’re coming from out of town. Clearly they only want the local drunks. Most of us even paid for drinks we never got before the lady went psycho. She wasn’t even our bartender so we have no clue why she came over. Georges Lounge just over the river from Winona is a decent little Wisconsin style bar/tavern. Beer, booze, gambling and a little fried food. On this Sunday evening the place was quieter than are other visits. The bartender good and kept us amused with occasional small talk.
