We've been here many many times. Service is hit or miss. I get the same sundae every time, however it's rarely made the same. Since business has gotten "bigger " things aren't as personable, the younger adults and teens working aren't always friendly and have a know it all attitude. If I'm paying $6 for a sundae, I'd like it made pretty much the same every time. Sometimes, when they are less busy or we get someone who has worked there for a while, the sundae is made how it should be. However my kids enjoy the ice cream cones and different flavor options each time we go. Today I had an issue with my sundae, I asked the young man if he could fix it. With an attitude he took it, put a small swirl of topping and slid it across the counter and walked away. I was going to let it go, went out to my car, but I wasn't going to waste $6 on another sundae I'm not going to eat. So I went back in and spoke with another young lady who asked the "manager" to help me. The young lady put my sundae in the freezer, with ice cream that they'd be serving to others, not knowing where I just was with my sundae (this is a huge food safety/sanitation violation). I told the manager I'd rather just get my money back because I was no longer in the mood to have ice cream. She got a bit of an attitude and said "I'm not giving you a sundae and your money back." I said that wasn't what I was asking, and even told her the other girl was starting to make another sundae when she didn't need to. She refunded my money. After today's transaction, it will be a long while before me and my family come back, as I was already on the fence due to...
Read moreDear Kelley Country Creamery Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some feedback from our recent visit to your establishment on August 23, 2023. As regular patrons of Kelley Country Creamery, we have always enjoyed our experiences, although our most recent visit was somewhat different.
During our visit, we ordered a couple of double scoop waffle cones. Additionally, I requested a small dish with whipped cream for my small Yorkie dog. Regrettably, the counter attendant declined my request and proposed an ice cream pup cup instead. While I understand the suggestion, the pup cup would have been far more ice cream than my 4-pound pup could handle. I wish to clarify that I was not seeking a complimentary item; I was more than willing to pay for the whipped cream separately. Despite this, the attendant explained that such an arrangement wasn't possible according to the guidelines.
Though this may seem like a minor concern, our dogs hold a special place in our family, and ensuring their well-being is important to us. I believe that accommodating pets in such situations would enhance the overall customer experience. Your flexibility in addressing these requests could potentially strengthen customer loyalty.
As a longtime patron, I appreciate the diverse range of flavors you offer to customers. It is my hope that, in the future, this spirit of variety can extend to accommodating our four-legged companions as well. I look forward to the possibility of returning when this accommodation becomes feasible, and until then, I thank you for your understanding.

Read moreVisited at 8:49 PM on a Sunday with my family for what should have been a simple ice cream trip. Unfortunately, the experience was quite poor due to dishonest service and staff unwillingness to help customers. When I asked for two scoops of birthday bash for my son, one employee said they were out while another mentioned there was more in the back. The first employee clearly lied about availability rather than checking - she was simply too lazy to walk to the back and get more ice cream for a paying customer. At 8:50 PM (10 minutes before closing), we were told the mixing equipment for add-ins like cookie dough was already cleaned and unavailable.I understand that teenage employees may be eager to close up, but outright lying to customers and refusing to provide basic service well before closing time is unacceptable and reflects poorly on management oversight. Being dishonest about product availability rather than taking a few steps to check inventory is exactly the kind of poor service that drives customers away. This resulted in disappointed children and an unnecessarily stressful family outing. I've been a customer since childhood and have always lived within walking distance, so this experience was particularly disappointing. The shop would benefit from better staff training on honesty, work ethic, and maintaining advertised hours of operation. Also, if you cannot get a cookie dough swirl at 8:49 when ypu close at 9, make your closing time when you take the menu...
