Snug Harbor Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Town of Cape Vincent

Hopefully, it was just an off night for the new owner and waitress.

We were excited for a get-together before a long drive home with some good food...

Wait time was 30 mins (no big deal was busy). But once seated, we sat for an hour+ as a family with babies waiting for our small food order. And kept getting different answers on why. We even watched 6 tables come and go (twice!) happy and attended to with large orders, along with about a dozen takeout orders thru the hour plus.

I believe they just forgot our orders, but the waitress didn't check on for refills until 50 minutes had passed, and when they did they just put a pitcher on our table. Most the servers also hid alot of the time in the back talking together. (We sat in direct eye sight of the kitchen).

We ordered only a few wraps and a personal pizza. No discount or remedy for the poor service and situation. I normally don't like doing reviews negatively, but since we used to love this place so much, I hope this helps them reflect and find better solutions...

The lady owner is very unprofessional. I went there for dinner tonight as i just arrived in town and we placed our order and was told we had to grab a table when one came available, so as we waited we realized they didnt give us the 20% discount on the wings so i went up and asked and the cashier said hold on let me ask, she came back and said the owner said she couldnt give me the discount so i said why and she said hold on and she went and got the owner and the owner said to me i cant loose my business over people like you wanting a discount, i said what and she said its for eat in only, i said i am eating in im waiting for a table she said you cant congregate around my restaurant and i said the lady that took my order told us when we saw a table to grab it, she said no you go sit in your vehicle, and she wouldnt serve me any alcohol but served everybody eles. Needless to say this will be my first and last...

🚩🚩🚩Longtime visitor to Snug and live in the spots next to it. We are all really disappointed. Ordered 2 pizzas on 7/3 and we’re super disappointed in the quality. Definitely not completely cooked and not as flavorful as they used to be. But when we just visited, we went to grab a few beers and play quick draw.. it was SO WARM inside - you couldn’t eat/hangout inside. So we went to the porch to hang and grab a beer. We waited for a table to open up and snagged one (which has been the normal protocol) and were told that it’s reservations only. Since when?!?! It’s always been first come, first serve on the porch! Especially during music. The pregnant waitress told us ‘these are reserved and we have a long line’ - we stood around a while and NOBODY EVER SHOWED UP TO THE ‘RESERVED LONG LINE’ table. Ridiculous, place is going down hill. We won’t be back anytime soon unless...
