So disappointed!!! Where should I start! I hate giving bad reviews, but with this experience I have to. We went on sat 4/22 at noon. The waitress threw the menus on the table and ran away: "be right back". We just wanted 2 good burgers. What a mistake! I ordered the bacon n cheese with sweet potato fries. My hubby ordered the holy smoke with fries. We ordered both medium well. The burgers were so dry. You can even see it in my pic!!! My bacon was so hard and dry, so was the bread. They threw a thick chunk of "RAW"white onions. Disgusting!!! My sweet potato fries were inedible. Dry, hard, and barely warm. It felt like a collection of all leftovers and reheated. The beer was good!!!! The place needs help and a good cleaning. The place was in complete silence. No music! My hubby suggested to play pandora on my phone. Embarrassing but I had to play it at least very low not to die of boredom. We left parched because water wasn't served. I didn't even dare to ask for it. What an awful experience. So different than the one in croton. Never again!!!

2/23 Stopped in for a Saturday dinner. Same man near the bar as always. I like to think he runs the pit. Same delicious BBQ as i remembered. Thank you for a lovely dinner! Looking forward to coming back. I particularly enjoy the house BBQ sauce. I have stopped in and grabbed take out twice now. Both times were a good experience. Great brisket! My sides of choice are the baked beans and coleslaw. Others tried the Babyback ribs, half chicken, spicy sausage and pulled pork and were very happy! The BBQ sauce is like none I have ever seen before but it compliments the food perfectly. My only suggestion is to move away from paper take out trays as the juicy goodness can soak through paper and leak in your car. Looking forward to my next trip!

I would rate this place higher but we came there during the day on the weekend and it seemed that some of our meats (particularly the brisket) were pre-cut and a lil on the dry side. Their glaze like BBQ sauce was a perfect compliment and brought things back to life.... The smoke bark on the ribs, brisket and pastrami was on point... The Rueben I had was a slapper for sure and though the Mac n cheese wasn't gooey it still tasted delicious! They do a decent que, they just need to pay closer attention to the small details. This spot has been around a long time though so it's not easy to keep up the consistency tbh. Will return again for an update!

Ordered the “pig nic” dinner for two for and it was a bit disappointing. We ordered for pick up and the service was great, just wished the food matched. - ribs were burnt and dry - brisket was dry - chorizos were delicious but dry - bbq chicken was bland, burnt, and dry - mac and cheese was hard, cheese curdled and separated. - creamed spinach was tart (!) - smashed potatoes were great - corn bread was hard and dry - bbq sauce is more like syrup than sauce. Maybe everything was made earlier and just kept on heat which dried it all out. Probably won’t give them another try.

This place has a great menu. Their BBQ sauce is a sweet one. The pulled pork is good, brisket tender, chicken was dry but many restaurants make the mistake of not taking it off in time as it will continue to cook while resting. The onion rings were yummy. The mac and cheese however is probably the worst thing I have tasted. It is sour and full of a grainy substance that seems like they add a lot of flour? Maybe? The corn muffins are a dense heavier corn muffin. We will gi back and try some more stuff! P. S. The satff was very nice. Oh, and the value is spectacular!

Had dinner with a coworker, only ones there an hour before closing. We were seated and served immediately. Portions were huge, 2 sodas, 2 meals, tax and tip came to $95. Chorizo was awesome! The brisket was sliced thin and a bit on the dry side. The onions that were on top of it were great, though. The corn muffin was a little burnt and very hard, the macaroni and cheese average, and the creamed spinach more cheesy than creamy. My colleague enjoyed the potato salad and baked beans. It's an old-school wooden themed bar and BBQ joint with a bunch of tvs.
