Anthony’s Supper Club — Restaurant in Town of Carroll

3 hrs.....3hrs waiting for salty food. I dont usually write 1 star reviews unless it was a bad experience but this really was. First of we were seated after a group showed up after us as we walked in. No drinks menu so we ordered basic drinks. We sat outside and the tables were covered in ants and dirty. Ordered apps, got the ahi tuna crisps which were good. Placed our order for the 20oz ribeye steak specials ($45) each. Went with brussel sprouts instead of the baked potato (wrong move), should have stuck with the potato. After placing our food order we waited 30 min, then another 30 min, then another 30 min, until i over heard the table behind us ( which also waited 2 hrs for their food) that no one inside has had their food yet. At that point we were about to pay our drinks and leave but the waitress was apologetic about the wait and the table behind said it would be worth the wait ( im assuming they were regulars). So we waited another 30 min until finally our food was served. The food looked good but dam my taste buds were not ready for the salt shock it was about to endure. This is where that baked potato would have come in handy. Steak was cooked good but it was overly salty and so were the tiny portion of salty brussel sprouts. I didnt want dessert as i thought that too might be salty, lol. Really sad for waiting 3 hrs for salty over priced food. Service could have been better too as our waitress just walked past us a few times without asking if we needed anything....

Food is great, especially the salads - large portion and loaded with good, fresh, flavorful stuff. Energetic, cordial, attentive service. Atmosphere is not great - too brightly lit, for sure, and very noisy. It's happy noise from happy patrons, but our table of six could not hear each other.

Update: Owner replied in a way I wish others would...in no way defensive, rather from a continuous improvement perspective. This is so commendable. I don't think there's much that can be done about the noise without renovations with noise reduction in mind and I am no engineer. The bright lighting and loud wall color could be tuned down a couple of notches, tho. I'm thinking that you will love this restaurant for many occasions, just not those when close conversation is the goal. I wonder if some tables are quieter than others, and you might ask for that. Fantastic spot! The outside was very unassuming. The waitresses were friendly and genuinely happy to be at work. I even overheard them chatting with each other about how they love coming to work and the owner/chef is great to work for. That spills over into how they greet customers; with a smile and attentiveness.

The food was fantastic. It's rare to see a restaurant with such high marks, so my expectations were pretty high. They did not disappoint! Creative spins on traditional dishes, outstanding execution on classic recipes. This...
