Recently moved to Depew, a block away from Joey’s Pizza. We instantly fell in love. It became our go to- everything we have ordered was delicious. We even recommended it to family and friends. My only complaint is the customer service. Last night I ordered a large pizza. We ate half of it and kept the leftovers in the fridge overnight. When I opened the box to reheat leftovers for lunch, I noticed a fly submerged in the pizza. There is a slim chance that the fly could have flown into the pizza in front of us while we were eating dinner at the table (approx. 30 minutes before it was boxed and put in fridge). However, based on the fly’s appearance in the pizza and how short of a period of time that the pizza was subject to open air, we were both relatively certain that the fly was cooked into the pizza. Not ideal, but it happens. I went back to seek a refund or credit for a fresh pizza. I figured that for a $20 pizza and probably at least 50% gross margins for the company, a $10 cost/loss to remake a pizza for us would be well worth it to keep a satisfied repeat customer. Instead, I left disappointed as I was only offered a single slice and was told that there’s a chance that it happened within my house. While there certainly is a chance that is what happened, based on the circumstances, we both concluded more likely than not that the fly was was cooked into the pizza. I also believe that is beside the point. They know our faces and we have given them business on a handful of occasions. In hindsight, management may realize that the $10 investment to remake a pizza for a repeat customer could have brought them hundreds of dollars in further repeat business and further recommendations. Unfortunately for them, they may not ever see...
Read moreI have no complaints. Whenever I see a pizza place I haven't been to , I try to stop and check it out. I walk in and a guy pops out from the back and asks what I would like ( seemed like a very friendly guy). I ordered a large half cheese and half sausage pizza and large fries. I waited about 15 minutes and then the family and I ate it in the car. We opened the box and the pizza was nice and hot, the cheese was all melty. For me the dough is a little dry but had a nice crunch in the crust. The sauce was very good, just the right amount of sweetness and overall had a very good flavor. It is more of a wetter sauce if that makes sense. It made it seem like I needed more sauce on the pizza, but looking at it there was a good amount. The fries were good also, I personally hate coated french fries, but these were very hot and crunchy and actually had a nice taste. I wouldn't say the fries made a convert of me, but they were the best coated fries I have had.
Thank you Joey's for making...
Read moreI've gotten pizza from joeys all my life and it has always been the best around, with a unique flavor of sauce (typically a sweeter sauce) and lots of warm melted cheese you can't go wrong with ordering up a classic sheet and a bucket for the family. I usually don't like sweeter styles of pizza sauce but when it comes to joeys man they do it right. Just last night I went out to grab a bite to eat with the boys and I ordered a whole BBQ chicken finger sub complete with lettuce, tomatoes, provolone, and mayo and this sub was easily better than a Johnnys pizzeria chicken finger sub which is (was) supposedly the best around the cheektowaga area. I also got the mozz sticks and they were phenomenal. Anyway give joeys a try and you won't regret it, either a sheet and a bucket or a hot or cold sub, they'll make it right every time. Keep up the great work and...
