My husband and I picked Tomaso's to celebrate my special day. I read the reviews and thought it a great choice. Ended up being a very bad decision on our part. It took us just over an hour to get our main course. Okay it's Mother's Day, so we gave some lead way. The waitress came out to tell me my dinner was prepared incorrectly and it was the last one. (Really, what about the next two hours of reservations still coming in the door.) I will not deny after waiting an hour in anticipation, I was upset. Then she kept asking me what I wanted her to do. Did I want her to still bring it out or bring a menu back out for me to order something else. After waiting for an hour she wanted me to make quick decision. I asked her if she wrote the special instructions, she was snarky and replied yes and did I want to see the ticket. She started treating me as if I were the problem after our long wait and wrong item. I told her she didn't need to give me attitude because I am stating my disappointment. I decided to take it as is, because I didn't want my husband to wait any longer while they prepared a new dish for me. When she came back out with our meal she had my side dish wrong. When I told her I ordered baked potato not spaghetti she had a wise reply for that too. And the final straw, our food was cold, not low temp warm. COLD. Only thing hot was the baked potato. I have never been treated so poorly for something they should have taken responsibility for. Side note: the servers behind the bar were wonderful. Our waitress never came back so we had to go to the bar for a soda refill and a little later my husband had to go ask a gentleman behind the bar...
Read moreI paid full price and the greens are worse than most courses fairways. Drainage on each hole was non-existent. Teed off at 1pm. On the 6th hole they were fertilizing the greens. The fertilizer smelled like raw sewage. Stained my ball, clubs, and my glove green... Not to mention the toxicity of the fertilizer. League play started at 5pm. 2 people playing 18.. we had more than enough time to finish. At 3:30pm multiple teams started showing up and teeing off on random holes. We were on 13 and 4 elderly ladies pulled up to 14th tee box. One of the elderly ladies had no shoes on. They were doing more socializing than anything else. Shepherd hills is very close to tommasso's. I will not return to Tommassos and I highly recommend Shepard hills...
Read moreTomasso’s is pretty much The Godfather of NY chicken parmesans (and not just because it feels like Don Corleone definitely ate here). This upstate NY spot has been open since 19??, and this dish is a throwback to the days when no one in New York worried about portion size, trans fats, or putting three pounds of cheese on top of chicken and calling it a meal. The chicken is tender, the seasoned breading is crunchy but not overpowering, and the marinara sauce is a perfect balance of sweet, herby, and salty. If you’re going to make someone an offer they can’t refuse, you do it at Tomasso’s and you do it over a plate of their...
