The Trillium Lodge — Restaurant in Town of Cherry Creek

The Trillium is in cherry Creek. It is considered a restaurant/bar , and while this is true the half designated as a dinning room feels like a country style restaurant. You can definitely see and hear the bar during a Bills but I noticed they do have the ability to close the partitions shutting the dinning room off from the bar. The restaurant has a Cracker Barrel look to it , and while I only tried the Fire House Burger it was good. The burger was a in house formed patty rather than store bought and while I do not know whether they cut their own Fry's from potatoes , they are a home style fry with sections of skin on them. My wife chose the option of onion rings and while neither of us ordered the elk meat , for an additional 5$we could have had elk burger rather than beef. Our server had never tried it either but said that it was a leaner option. All and all it's not a bad place to stop and have lunch. I was at The Trillium Lodge for the first time this past Sunday December 5th for our Garden Club Holiday Lunch. We had a lunch buffet - wraps, scalloped potatoes and carrots. The food was fine, but someone came out from the kitchen with an empty plate and took food from our buffet and walked back into the kitchen. Later this same person came out and scolded us for the togo containers that were out for us to take the remaining food home. Mind you, we didn't go get them, someone who worked there brought them out to us. We also had paid for additional people to eat who weren't there. We later found out it was the owner who was the person who took a plate of food and scolded us. Thankfully I have never had such an experience at a restaurant before and hopefully never again as I won't...

Not only will you wait an absurd amount of time for service and food they then rip you off and add more to your bill. KEEP YOUR RECEIPT if paying with card. I left $20 CASH TIP. My bill was $60.48 and I have the receipt YET THEY CHARGED MY ACCOUNT $72.58. I was being extra courteous and nice by leaving a cash tip...I felt bad because they only had a few servers and the world is short-staffed. My table was a party of four each of us left the waiter a $20 cash tip. So for a party of four she received $40 in cash but still did the sheistiness and put it through for more on my card. I'm appalled and if I was the owners of that company I would be looking really closely because its obvious this is a normal practice which means WHO ELSE are they...
