Tryon Inn and Backdoor Bar — Restaurant in Town of Cherry Valley

Was at the Tryon on Saturday 9/28/24 at 6 PM for a reservation that was made? Was sat in the back in the pool room we there for at least 1 5 to 20 minutes before anybody came over. We had to ask for them to come to us because our waitress didn't, know we were there. The person that sat us did not tell her. Waited an hour and 15 minutes to get our food,. When the waitress came out and told us that one of the patriots that were with us had no food.(don't you think you would tell them there no food for them before You bought out everyone else food ?) Our waitress was phenomenal and then the cook comes from the back being sarcastic about the food said oh, I'm going to go get somebody but nobody came out. Not one person came to our table and apologized, but the waitress, who was not at fault. Obviously the kitchen don't know what they're doing. And how do you take and leave One person of a party of 10 with no food and no manager, no one would come and talk to us You could at least comp drinks. So my question to the tryon is how do you bring food out for 9 people out of a party of 10? What is a 10th person supposed to do while the other 9 are eating That's shameful. And you can say it was busy (but really wasn't too busy at 6 pm) when someone has reservations for 6pm it shouldn't...

I am giving 4 stars because of how AMAZING the carrot cake is! According to the friendly server, one of the owners makes it. I have to say it is the BEST carrot cake I have EVER had. Wish I got a picture of it!!! LOL it didn't last that long. Actually, my friend and I got a piece TO GO, and while waiting for the check we each took bites and had to get another piece since it was that GREAT!

As for dinner, what I ordered was not the same quality as the carrot cake. I had a pasta dish and the veggies in it tasted like they were canned (mushrooms), the sauce was very light, and the chicken was okay. I also know this restaurant is not an Italian restaurant, so I have adjusted my expectations for that dish. There menu has a lot of variety to it, so I am definitely going to go a few more times to find something I absolutely love. I have my eye on the Taco Salad, and the waitress told us that the burgers there are fresh and not frozen, so I am excited to go again and try something...

My wife and I went there for dinner, got seated quickly, waited for service 10 minutes, ordered drinks, appetizers and our dinner, 50 minutes later went in to ask where our appetizer was, some guy walking around inside with it on tray, then different waitress brought it to us, we were there an hour and 15 minutes, we got up and left, on way out they wanted to give us employees discount, said our food was coming out, sorry we waited to long, and it wasn't that busy when we got there, people came half hour after us and got food and leaving before we were to get ours, we've been there several times and never had service like this, and they made no attempt to come out to say anything, I'm sorry that was and is not exceptable, we left and went to Dairyland, at least 20 people ahead of us, we got our food 15 minutes, not happy with Tryon inn, very...
