Friday evening around 6:30 pm traveling in and around Syracuse and after previewing the Fantastic special’s menu decided to have dinner at Barado's on the Water. The place was packed with very limited seating, however as always warmly greeted by Cheryl and placed at a high top in the main dining room. Timing is everything as the restaurant filled up more after we arrived. Julie greeted us with a friendly smile and wanted to know what we wanted to start refreshment wise. Beer for me, spouse – wine. After bringing the refreshments took our starter order – We knew already what we wanted – Chef Ted's Homemade Seafood Gumbo – Bowl…. So that we didn’t have to share Julie brought out two cups of soup for my spouse and I, that is service… The soup was loaded with seafood and tasted, as I figured fantastic. Another Appetizer that we wanted to share was the Lamb Merguese Naan Flatbread pizza. Tasted better than it looked. The lamb sausage had great flavor and only added to the Rosemary and other flavors incorporated into the Flatbread. Onto the entrée’s - I had my heart set on their Pasta special – Sherry Chicken Penne mixing sausage and chicken into a dish with Sherry Cream sauce and other goodies, was an excellent choice. Lots of Chicken and flavor. Spouse had their Butter Crumb Haddock – 2 large pieces of haddock with a cracker and lemon topping – Delicious but what was even better for her was their Grilled Asparagus, only adding to this extra ordinary dish. To find this Hidden Gem, (for a great meal or even nice lunch with fantastic service) when in the Syracuse area, Route 37, 57 Bradbury Rd, Central Square, New York – look for the sign for the Bradbury Boatel and follow their driveway until you can go no further.

I would like to start out saying that Erika was one of the main factors of me coming to this place, I’ve had to do some mild searching for lobster rolls due to places not keeping their online menu updated but she confirmed they had them and was helpful and I never got a sense of her being bothered by the multiple yet simple questions I had even tho I called twice about the same thing (I lost track of which restaurants i actually called due to so many not having them compared to the ones who did lol) and when i finally arrived she was such a pleasure to talk to and i appreciated her company throughout my stay, made me glad this place was the one i chose out there others. the lobster rolls here are killer, I understand that they can get expensive with the market pricings and everything but I hope there’s never a day they stop serving them they actually MAKE THEM RIGHT!! If you’ve had your fair share of lobster rolls you know what I’m talking about, and I’ve been to three other places around here in Syracuse but here it’s more than just cut up lobster in some bread, the rolls are light and buttery with more of that traditional New England style fill 👌🏾 if you’re just looking for a place that consistently serves them on their menu and it’s actually worth the stop Barado’s is the spot, even if you’re not really for the rolls still stop by it’s in a real ducked off spot and lowkey, chill areas around the restaurant to eat including the front of you wanna spark a cig or two to smoke and grub, they definitely have a regular out of me everything 10/10

We have just recently discovered this "dimond in the rough"in our backyard; and what a dimond it is. In this area I consider a "real food desert", this is a breath of fresh air and I'm delighted to have found it. Chef Donna is a master of the culinary craft, as am I, being a retired fine dining chef of 25+ years. The menu changes daily as to the season and availability of ingredients. That translates onto fresh high quality eats!!! This is the real deal folks. In my personal and professional culinary experience, this establishment qualifies as "Off the Hook"!!! The time, respect and attention given to the ingredents only translates to one thing: LOVE! Love creates the most satisfying cuisine! The desserts are homemade with culanary precision and delectable . The prices and portions are very fair and the waitstaff lovely. Highly recommended. 5+ Stars!!! Keep shinning! BRAVO!!!
