Star Lake Scoops — Restaurant in Town of Clifton

I would have rated higher but unfortunately, I haven’t even been able to try the ice cream! We have a camp in cranberry lake .. and I was excited to see a cute ice cream shop open in star lake… on 9/11 I attempted to go get ice cream and they had a sign up the said “we will reopen after the fireworks”…. There were other people there when I pulled in and they also looked confused… who closes a place of business to go watch fireworks and then come back???? ANYWAYS, I decided I’d try again tonight… drove out there, pulled in at 742pm and noticed it was dark… like half the lights weren’t even on… I saw a sign on the window saying they were open until 8pm (please update your hours on Google, save people the trip, it still says you’re open till 10pm)… I noticed there was an older lady in there, so I got out and asked if they were still open.. which to my surprise, I got a huge “uuugggggghhhh” in response. Needless to say, I got in my car and left. I ended up going to the gas station and on my way back by, I saw a lady knocking on the window looking for someone to serve her (it was 752)… if you don’t want to work or don’t have workers, just close...

What’s the Scoop is AMAZING! A true highlight of a day on Star Lake is ending it with ice cream from What’s The Scoop.

This year they have a ton of soft serve flavors - as well as the classic traditional ice cream.

Across two visits I got coffee ice cream in a cone & a soft serve chocolate/vanilla twist in a dish with sprinkles - both were excellent, reasonably priced, and quickly served.

All the staff have a smile on their face & I can tell they care about the Star Lake community.

I wish only the best for What’s the Scoop - and can’t wait to come...
