Wow what an amazing stop. We were on our way from Pennsylvania back up to Pittsfield and stopped for coffee. They have a wonderful selection of English products and I ran into Vegemite which I really really loved when I had access to it. They also had a product called marmite. I didn't understand the difference so I asked and don't you know the owner came right out and gave me a really clear understanding of the difference. Come to find out that David the owner of the place was involved in the original West side story film and as a dancer and we had this great conversation about it it was really a lot of fun very informative so I left with my Marmite because it was the stronger the two products. LOL and a really great experience. One thing I missed saying to David in a kindred spirit is that in high school I was one of the dancers in our high school play and playing one of the Jets. LOL so anyway if you ever get the opportunity to stop by this location please do and tell David that Patrick said hi all right there you go. Oh yeah and did I mention the food...
Read moreStopped for lunch here today and it was a wonderful experience. My wife had the Fish and Chips and I had the Chicken Codon Bleu Sandwich. It was a nice thick cutlet with grilled ham and gobs of melted Swiss served on the freshest roll you could ask for. The "chips" were nice crisp French Fries, a concept that seem to escape so many places.

There was also a nice selection of baked goods and muffins that we didn't sample but looked pretty amazing.
Several locals came and went while we were there picking up their homemade soup which is supposed to be quite good. There's really something here for everyone, all seems to be top quality, and the staff is quite friendly. Can't...
Read moreI went to Jeanie Beans in Clinton Corners as per my friend's recommendation that they have excellent eggs dishes, and if something is not on the menu they would still fix it for you. Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. When she noticed that I am not a regular customer nothing was available. Not only no eggs Benedict but no eggs at all because it was a few minutes past 11am and she said they do not serve eggs after 11. There were only sandwiches after 11 so I left without eating there. They lost me forever.
Following your response. Thank you for your reply. The person who recommended your place is your regular and assured me that you have a very friendly service and that you can fix eggs Benedict even if you do not have on the menu. I guess this type of service is not available for everyone. No worries. We wish...
