The Midway Café is a gem of gems in Americana cuisine. Order ANYTHING and you wont be disappointed EVER. Yes its a little spot, yes its a traditional diner but the food... Its a piece of humanity that takes you back to the America anyone born before the internet and credit debt ever existed. If you want NOSTALGIC EXCELLENT PRICED DINER FOOD LOOK NO FURTHER ! Clean - covid responsible (booth shields LOVE THAT INNOVATION) . The waitress was gracious as country can be and very consistent .. Good coffee ( no pineapple juice ... Err..lol , but I'll let that go ) Cash only.. However there is an ATM - all the desserts are HOMEMADE! CLASSIC CHEESECAKE and this lemon Cake omg! Definitely worth the stop.. The breakfast was well portioned and the eggs were definitely local. Delicious. (No they're not paying me for this review my integrity as a writer is true) Wife had a Turkey club - real carved turkey and sweet potato fries presented like a true chef. Excellent and will be returning soon . Atmosphere - 4 - dated but in a good way a little small and rustic but charming and strong like an American diner should be! Service - 5 Menue - 4 Basic diner breakfast and lunch with some nice mexican and greek cuisine mixed in. Food quality and presentation -5 Timing -5 Price - GREAT DEAL -5 (IF I COULD GIVE A 6.. I’ve been going to Midway Cafe for over 10 years now. I bring my friends & family there. The food was always amazing. However, I am now looking for an alternative. The last 2 times my deluxe grilled chicken sandwich has been like leather. Dry and over cooked and they forgot to put lettuce & tomato on it which is what makes it a deluxe. I requested that my roll not be soaked in garlic. However they paid no attention to my request. When the waitress went back to exchange it I then received a cold roll. Not heated or warmed on the grill. My sweet potatoes fries (which you get less and less of these days) the 1st time were hard and not cooked. Thank god yesterday they were good given that I couldn’t eat the over cooked chicken but there was so few of them it wasn’t filling at all. Here’s what I will tell you. Don’t order a meal in between lunch and dinner. They are not paying attention to how they are cooking your food. They appear to me to not care about how they cook any longer. No sense of pride in cooking for people. Once you have reached that point in your career when you just don’t care it’s time to move on and do something else. The other thing I will share with you is that the gnats around the condiments and food were absolutely disgusting. I have paid more than $30 for those 2 meals even tipping the waitress for a take out order. Never again and it will be a long time before I order food from here again. Very very disappointed. Might also be time to call OSHA given the flies and gnats...

Had gone once previously and had not been impressed but I don’t like leaving bad reviews so here I am to say that they redeemed themselves completely. I finally decided to give them a second chance after a few years. The food was significantly better. The waitress I had was named Nikki. I did hear someone else call her Red though. Going to assume it was because of her red hair. She was incredible. I’ve never felt more pleased with service at a restaurant. She was very attentive, but didn’t seem pushy or overbearing. Yet I never had to ask for any refills for drinks or anything. Her service was INCREDIBLE if I owned a restaurant I would 100% want each and every one of my servers to learn from her about being friendly and attentive. As a person who’s considered part of a marginalized group of people I am very wary when going to new places to eat and she made me feel like I was a part of her family. I will 100% be coming back for her stellar service, the good food, and the incredible value of each item...
