This place continues to careen ever downward, like a town drunk falling down a spiral staircase in a watchtower. It's unfortunate because the views of the lake are incredible, and the atmosphere is cozy. Where everything begins to fall apart is the amount of seating they have (a lot) and the amount of servers they had on a Friday Fish Fry evening (zero). There was a sign on the front door that read "no servers working, seat yourself" or something to that effect. We sat inside along a few other small groups, and found it was just the bartender and one cook working. Fast forward 45 minutes later and we have our food. The beef stew was good. Everything else was enhhh. Got charged extra for a sauce with a sandwich, whereas on the menu it looked like it was included. Nothing like being nickled and dimed by a restaurant. In the meantime, roughly 30 other customers have arrived and begun ordering drinks, food, etc. I felt bad for the staff. They were clearly just trying to get through the workday. On the walls are many interesting Irish flags, posters, bric-a-brac, and other Gaelic-themed trinkets. New this year was a "help trump win wisconsin" poster. Well, I guess that's why the owner refuses to serve Anheuser-Busch products. That's also the final nail in the coffin. Decline in food, service, and now that means Dublin Sports Bar is now crossed off my list. Too bad.

Our first visit was on $1 Burger Wednesday, and we loved it! We ate inside because the mosquitoes were being a "challenge," despite the breeze! I highly recommend getting the "bacon weave" on your juicy burger! My husband considered the double, but he added cheese, grilled onions, mushrooms, and a tomato, and it was enough that he was glad he didn't order a double! Just know that everything you add to your burger - even mayo (not ketchup) - is going to raise the price. They truly were delicious! One other thing, the fries are "soft" style, as in bend over soft, not like McDonald's. We split one order. Perfect amount! Our server was super attentive, and the view was amazing! You can boat or drive there. Plenty of outside seating! Looking forward to returning!

Food and service great, but for a bowl of Mac and cheese with bacon, hubby had corn beef and cabbage. 5 drinks total cost us more than 2 ribeye dinners and 6 drinks. The drinks were outrageously priced! For 3 tall doubles captain and coke was almost $18 plus for the double captain was another $18 so for 3 drinks it was $36 WHF? Could of bought a huge bottle of captain and 2 liter bottle of coke and mixed our own! And got more than 3 drinks out of it!

Visited this location because a friend recommended it. I am sad to say that I will not visit again. When my friend and I sat down we ordered drinks and asked for a menu. Our drinks were "OK" and seemed a bit pricey for an "up north" bar. We did order food but were pretty disappointed! My sandwich was not the worst I have ever had, but for prepackaged lunch meat I feel it was way overpriced. My chicken chili came out all dried on top and wasn't even warm so I pushed it to the end of the bar counter and no one even bothered to ask if anything was wrong with it. My friends burger came out and it wasn't even cooked - not just a medium rare - it was barely cooked at all and mushy. Again - put the foot to the edge of the bar counter and they just took the basket without asking if anything was wrong OR if the food was ok. AND I understand prices have gone up but our bill for 2 sandwiches, a cup (NOT A BOWL) of chili and 2 drinks was - $50! We tried to mention about the food not being good - no one seemed to care. They charged $4 for fries as a side (nothing came with the sandwiches) and $2 for a slice of cheese on the burger. What really is disappointing is the staff really didn't care that we didn't eat most of the food and sent it back and just handed us our bill. No questions asked! Thank god we won $50 on a pull tab - I would not have wanted to spend that amount of...
