Seemed to fulfill its' role as an ice-cream shop also offering food. I was not overwhelmed by its' ice creamy and other dessert offerings. Ice cream selections were adequate (avoided partaking in the dessert selections) BUT did notice some of the less robust items were overpriced (ice cream float) so their pricing seemed particularly out of whack alongside the recent inflationary pricing of the normal/adequate items. The food hit the mark all right (besides the nagging similarity to frozen, preformed beef patties) while the accompanying fries were a picture of what is usually served up in a school cafeteria. In all, the menu was smaller but did make a stab at variety with what seemed to be daily specials. Incidemtals - indoor dining was limited, though there is the outdoor, lake adjacent appeal. The 1 bright spot was a particular female employee who shone with an authentic, "giggly" disposition that was contagious despite our limited interaction. Otherwise service was handled by 4 local "yutes". The two young men and there counterparts, two young women, seemed a larger staff than necessary. I was also slightly disconcerted when, apparently having little to do, they convened together and out of site of the dining room. So the visit ended, feeling a little deserted I slipped the confines of the indoor space further limited by the single occupancy restroom which would put stress on the snug interior anytime more than a single patron decided to avail themselves of refreshment. Outside again and enjoying the generous outside space offered for its' primary business of quick stops by travelers in need of a tasty, regnerative treat/snack. Some confusion as to whether the orders were made available at the counter Or delivered to...

I used to love this place but just had a really bad experience. Not only have the prices gotten super high, but they got one of our sundae orders completely wrong. When I told them it was not what we ordered, the young lady working walked over to grab our ticket to prove to me she gave me to correct order. The person taking our order put the wrong item in the computer. Therefore, even though it was NOT correct, the ticket did not reflect that. She did not offer to correct the order. Just reiterated that what we were given matched what we ordered according to the receipt. The sundae was for my spouse, who didn’t want to cause a fuss, so they just took it and ate it…. But not much because it wasn’t good. Also, they completely forgot my son’s order and I had to ask for it to be made and wait for them to check the receipt again. Fortunately, that was on the receipt. We paid roughly $65 for our ice cream and tipped 20% in advance so about $80 on this experience. Not happy with what we got for...

Cayuga Lake Creamery was a great ice cream stop. They have a large selection of homemade ice cream and they have hard, soft, custard and sundaes to choose from. They also have some savory food options if you're interested in that. The ice cream was great, my wife enjoyed the cake batter and her waffle cone and I got the Reese's pieces sundae which was incredible! I got the small and it was way more than enough. Only go large if you haven't had food in 24 hours.

The place was busy but we really had no wait at all. The team was working fast back there. Prices are average for ice cream nowadays and I thought portions were appropriate.

They have an inside and outside eating area attached to the creamery and there is more outside down the hill where there is extra parking as well. It's nothing special inside but for an overly hot day nice to have. The outside down the hill provides shade so that is nice as well.

Either way a great stop for ice cream if you are in the...

Cayuga Lake Creamery was one of our vendors at my wedding this past July and it was definitely one of the highlights of our day! We opted for a full sundae station so people could choose flavors and customize what they wanted. The owners were wonderful to work with and made everything so easy and straightforward even when we wanted to change up the flavors. On the night of our wedding, I went for the Sea Salt Caramel and it was some of the most satisfyingly creamy and delicious ice cream I have ever had! My dad used to take me to their Interlaken location so it also had the nostalgia factor but somehow it tasted even better than I remembered. People were raving about it! My husband and I stayed in Ithaca the week after and made a point to go to their location in the Dewitt Mall as well and it was well worth it. Cayuga Lake Creamery is some of the best ice cream around!

The size is crazy! I wouldn't expect kiddie size to be this huge. But well, considering its price ($5.62), I guess it makes sense! This "no doze," coffee with expresso-coated chocolate bits flavour was great! It was unsurprisingly a little too sweet for my liking. But the expresso-coated chocolate bits were so good. They add interesting texture to the ice-cream. The waffle cone was delicious too. Services is okay but they don't allow dogs inside. We could sit outside today because it wasn't too cold. But if you come here on a really cold day (which are coming soon), you probably want to keep you dog in the car.
