I write this review with hesitation.
I don't normally review a place, unless I feel there is something that should be said.
This past evening, my partner and I decided we would go out to dinner before we went out for karaoke. When we first arrived, there was a small wait for a table in the dining room (in hind-sight, this would have probably been better). We opted to sit at a bar table for a quick dinner.
For around 10-15 minutes (we honestly weren't counting but after a while did count and it was over 10 minutes) we waited until somebody acknowledged us. The entire time we sat, the bartender was looking at us but she was clearly not interested in taking our table. Now we both work in the industry and understand when things are busy, but were floored that she keep looking at us and didn't bother to tell us she would be with us shortly. Instead, it was clear we were a nuisance to take.
Finally, we were greeted by a server who clearly had to come from the dining room to take us. She was pleasant but short, and it really made us feel unwelcome. We ordered our food, and it was decent. I've been here before, but the food was standard this time. The past times the food was to die for.
We were prepared to have a drink or two, but were so frustrated with the obvious ignorance from the bartender we decided on just water.
The food came out in a timely manner, but the way the bartender and waitstaff were, we won't be back. This place has truly gone downhill and I hope the new(er) owners...
Read moreWe have only ever gotten take-out but the staff were friendly (friendlier than other pizzerias around). It's a bit out of the way in a very residential area but since the closest businesses are warehouse related it saves everyone from having to drive into town for lunch. The pizza is delicious, definitely one of the better options in Sullivan/Orange County area. However, what prompted this review is something I couldn't help but take pictures of, and the smell alone was exciting. The real treat is the Chicken Parm Sub, every part of it. The bread is perfectly toasted and a generous size, as well as the cutlets perfectly fried/baked and a generous portion of 2 cutlets. You will not find a single dry bite of chicken or bread. It has a perfect balance of sweet and salty, and I've had my fair share of flavorless chicken parms. I would like a little more flavor in the chicken's breading maybe, bc the sauce is definitely complex enough- that being said, even as a city-transplant this is by far one of the best parms I've ever had in my life yet. They lather the cheese and sauce so that you can hardly stop yourself from devouring it in one sitting, although it's hard to do due to the amount of food this is. A whopping sandwich at an incredible price leaving you feeling...
Read moreExtremely disappointed in our experience we had there tonight. We called a few days ago and reserved a table for 15 people and asked if it was okay to hold a surprise birthday dinner and were assured that this was fine. First we were turned off when the hostess came to our table and rudely told us that they needed our menus when we didn’t even order our dinner yet. Then, about hour and a half after us getting there which including us getting there, doing the surprise (which obviously is later than the time we arrived), ordered appetizers and drinks and were currently eating the dinner we ordered, the hostess came over and informed us that we MUST do the cake now because we were taking too long and they needed the table for another reservation. Now frankly I find this HIGHLY unprofessional especially because we informed them with plenty of notice and were told that it would be no problem along with the fact that it wasn’t like we were sitting around after the dinner and desert was finished just not leaving......WE WERE STILL EATING OUR DINNER. It’s such a shame that we were treated in such an unwanted manner because the waitress along with the food were great. Unfortunately, We will not be coming back and you have lost some...
