(Copied from my Facebook business page post): Danby Food and Drink is amazing! My live music trio had a really fun show there a few weeks ago and the owner of this awesome little place, Kartik, offered to keep some CDs so they could be available to buy at his store. (SO epic, and a testament to how focused he is on supporting local artists, farmers, etc, and fostering a true sense of community at his place). So he reached out letting me know that he sold one and I stopped by today to snag the cash. I walked in and there was a group of people hanging out playing board games and sipping hot chocolate and coffee, people having breakfast, and the vibe was so chill and warm. A group of people came in and were all greeted by name, bc that’s the kind of place this is, and they started ordering some food. Kartik introduced me to the group, raved about our show the other night, told them that I have a voice reminiscent of the great Dolores O’Riordan (an extremely flattering compliment that I’m honored by every time I hear it), and before I know it one of the guys in the group starts asking about my stuff and offers us to play a massive private party at a venue he has on New Year’s Eve. 😃🤘🏻 I told him I would check with the band, his group left, and I ordered a sandwich to go. The food in this place is really, really friggin good. All fresh, healthy stuff, much of it sourced locally… but this sandwich was a religious experience. It was pretty much snarfed before I got downtown (which isn’t that far away?). 🤣🤷🏼♀️ Think fresh local sourdough and sprouts and yummy Gouda and pesto and omg. So basically, within an hour of waking up I made money from album sales, hung out in an insanely cozy and welcoming little cafe, connected with a bunch of really kind people, got offered a killer NYE gig for my live band, and had a ridiculously delicious sandwich, all thanks to Kartik and his amazing community hub. If you have not yet checked this place out and you are anywhere near the Ithaca area, do yourself a favor and GO. Bring a book, snag one of the board games he keeps there to play with friends, enjoy a snack...

The owner and all members of Danby Food and Drink invested a lot of work to make this place what it is today-Beautiful!!!
Today I purchased a cookie called the "Rise and Shine" (I think).
This was not your typical pastry and was actual food, made with whole unprocessed ingredients.
It was topped with sea salt. It was made with oats, huge raisins, sunflower seeds, and other quality, natural ingredients. Very little flour, I believe and very filling!!
I am very pleased with every visit made here :-)
If your looking for a place to wet your whistle or for a fresh sandwich wrap, I suggest you stop here.
The produce is also amazing and fresh!!
Thank you Danby Food and Drink for serving the community!!!
See you...
Read moreDanby Food and Drink is a fabulous spot for not only delicious food and fast, friendly service, but for the venue itself. Even though I live downtown, I do not hesitate to make the short drive to enjoy some yummy food while checking out great live music. Although this picture is from an indoor show (it was raining that day so we enjoyed a cozy concert indoors), the real beauty is the outside area. There is a giant space with tables & chairs and a beautiful view where you can eat & drink while listening to local musicians. It's also a perfect space for kids & dogs! I highly recommend this place for food AND...
