My Saloon, inc. — Restaurant in Town of Darien

First time back in a few years and we won't be back. We sat on the patio and it took 10 minutes for a server to come to our table (and it wasn't even busy). We ordered drinks and an appetizer along with our entrees. It took 25 minutes for the appetizer during which the server never came back to see if we needed another drink. Two other tables who ordered after us got their food at least 25 minutes before we did. After waiting 50 minutes for our food, I asked the owner if she could check on it. She asked where we were sitting (mind you, we were 1 of 2 tables occupied on the patio where she was sitting). She went in and then came back out, looked at us and went back in without saying anything to us. About 5 minutes later we got our food. The server apologized saying another table got one of our dishes. My wings weren't fully cooked so I didn't eat all of them. I told the server that and she agreed they didn't look right. So why the hell serve them to me!! She offered me a free piece of pie to make up for that and the long wait. I declined saying why not just knock something off the bill. She replied "well, you did eat 3 of the wings" which is true. The french fries another person in our party got were cold. They didnt adjust the bill one penny. Another couple got up and left because they couldn't get someone to wait on them. Our servers 6% tip is reflective of the service and probably was too much. Just horrible...

Bad Experience!!!!! We wanted to grab a bite to eat before a concert at Darien lake. We only stopped because of the great reviews on Google. It was not busy. A 15 minute wait before a waitress asked for a drink order should have sent a red flag. After our drinks showed up we put our order of appetizers to share in(Chicken tenders, French fries, and onion rings). We just wanted something quick. 45 minutes after we ordered, we were still waiting. We even asked for another round of drinks in that time and it took 20mins to get them. We sat 15 mins with empty glasses. We asked our waitress how much longer and she said they should be right out. It was clear that she must not of put our order in. Who needs 45+ minutes to make fried food? We had enough... put money on the table and proceeded to walk out. Our waitress saw us and rudely asked if she could help us. We said we waited long enough for our Appetizer food. She then proceeded to say that they are a small place and their food is homemade. who needs 45+ minuted to make "homemade" chicken tender, onion rings, and fries!!!???? We will not be back. We then had to buy the way overpriced food at the Darien...

Quaint hometown atmosphere with Excellent food and a great vibe - we went for dinner after a day at Darien Lakes Kingdom Bound. Natalie is the sweetest most vibrant server who recommended the Bourbon Burger when I couldn't decide - perfect choice. My buddy got a Ruben and enjoyed it. Reasonable prices -$12 for a burger with chips, and $15-16 for a nice selection of specialty burgers w chips. We started it all off with Poutine, and when it came out I could smell the glorious beef gravy and just knew it would be good, it was excellent. My burger came out perfectly medium. Kudos to the kitchen. Solid draft and bottled beer selection. We were there on a karaoke night & it was tons of fun. Highly highly recommended Thank you for a great time! Hilarious off-key singing, and the staff kept everything running smoothly. I'm planning to be back & bring more friends for great food and a fun time again. A true hidden treasure. So glad I found...
