Ist Visit. It was a pleasure meeting Ariel, her hospitality and service was awesome. Salad bar was fresh and well stocked. Tried the Ribs and Fried chicken with spiral fries. Hard to believe it's offered as all you can eat given the amount of food served on one plate - wow. Wisconsin in a glass aka Brandy Old Fashioned was excellent too. Enjoyed our visit, stop by, I think you'll feel welcome and full after dining.

Good service...nice price for a seafood buffet, but the food didn't blow me away. It was good, not great. Enjoyed the beer battered haddock the most. Had a Virgin Mary and I'm afraid I wasn't fond of the different smokey flavor. I want to taste the tomato! Happy to see liver paste and ham salad on the salad bar. They did accommodate us when we asked to be near the buffet as we were with someone who walks with a cane.

The Buck-A-Neer is always fantastic. The Friday fish fry is the best in Central Wisconsin. The cheese curds are simply the best, with the exception of a small pub in London. The staff are top notch. The barkeep mixes a mean Old Fashioned. The waitress (Ariel, who resembles Pippi Longstocking,) was incredibly attentive and very friendly. Overall, a great little supper club!

My husband and I went there for Saturday night prime room in my birthday dinner. We were 1 of 4 tables one which was served already.

Our server came and asked us what we would like to eat and drink we picked our drinks out 1st and started with an appetizer she then left the table it took her 8 minutes to come back to bring us our drinks and ask us what we want to order which was the prime rib. We went to the salad bar started eating our salads another waitress dropped off our appetizer by then we were done With ourdrinks and waited another 4 minutes till somebody noticed which was another server she had asked us if we needed anything and my husband says yes we'd like more drinks she said let me find your server. And walked away if you're going to stop and ask if a table is OK seeing that they're annoyed by the look on their face you should at least help them out and get the drinks that they needed or help with an issue. This took our waitress another 4 minutes to come back to us and get our refills on our drinks. By now are prime rib has come to the table. I have worked in a restaurant before and I've gone to other steakhouses you never leave a table when someone orders a steak you wait for the customer to cut their steak/prime rib to make sure it has been made properly our prime rib wasnot. They were put on the table with the words stated to us"enjoy" and the waitress walked away Again this was another server not our server we've Only had her come to our table 2 times. My husband was displeased with his prime rib because it was overcooked not the way he wanted it. He left a quarter of his food on the plate which was actually a big slab of fat he didn't finish the rest of his food and not once did any server ask us if everything was OK noticing the displeased look on his face however how ever soon another server from the bar area came and dropped off a drink because it was An extra drink that should have come to our table earlier. Our waitress finally decide to come back around to explain the mix up over the extra drink and not to worry because we wouldn't be charged for that and then promptly returned to give us our check. My husband and I enjoy good food and good service and we start our tips out at $10 slowly dwindle down this server received a 0. Seeing as how we were only 1 of 4 Tables being served And the service and food was this bad I do not know if we will ever return. Im deeply upset at our service quality of food and in all the work ethics of our server and customer...

Im Happy to say that whatever had changed at the BuckANeer has seemed to change course. although some of the food was still a bit salty and pricey, it wasn’t nearly as bad as in my old review.

I ordered the Mahi Tuna Steak, they normally cook it to medium. I found this strange but intriguing. As proper Tuna Steak should be lightly seared on each side and severed near raw or blue (black and Blue) with the way it was prepared. Thats just the way you cook tuna steak. That is how every restaurant does it. I ordered mine medium rare and my theory was absolutely correct.

If you have something on your menu make it right.

But the place was over all much better then it was. Im happy to see it recover.

Bellow is my pervious review

I can't help but feel like this place has gotten worse since the new management. This place was always special to my family and me and it's just not the same. The redone interior is nice but the lighting is too bright for a supper club. I ordered a king cut prime rib and a side of scallops. The scallops were great well-cooked tender and lightly buttered. The steak, which looked and felt more like a roast, is where the review gets bad. I ordered it rare and it came out medium, ok, not ideal but not worth complaining about. But the steam was also bland and fat-less. It also seemed dry in some spots but admittedly we're good In others. My steak was definitely a cheaper grade steak then let on. It was very tender and seasoned alright but I would honestly guess it was USDA-Choice maybe slipping into select. It was a very thick-cut steak. But lacked the quality I had paid for. You could get a better steak I watching a 15 minute YouTube video and going to your local butcher. I have had better steaks at much much cheaper restaurants. But The check was outrageous for the food that I received. It was $84 between two people. Two entrées One with an added side, and one appetizer. I understand that I do tend to spend more and restaurants, but I expect to get what I pay for and this was simply not the case.

Overall: The Buck-A-Neer has slowly gotten more expensive well the food quality has gotten worse. It’s sad to see a good...

Aug 2023 We went as two couples and when we walked in the door we noticed the very nice rustic décor that was in the bar and the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by the bartender and led to our table. After our waiter took our orders, he then directed us to the soup and salad bar. The salad looked and tasted fresh and warm rolls were on our table when we sat back down. I had shrimp with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and it was absolutely the best. My husband had ribs & chicken and his side was endless fries. He said the ribs and the fries were excellent. The other gentleman in our party also had ribs & chicken, with a large plate of fettuccine alfredo as his side. He couldn’t stop saying how good it was. His wife had the shrimp alfredo which didn’t come with a side but it was a large plate and she had gotten the salad bar with her meal. She also said her meal was excellent. I can’t believe we got such good food for a such a reasonable price. Our waiter was amazingly friendly and attentive. In addition to the food, the room was clean and didn’t smell of room fresheners (big turn off). We were given large glasses of water, large napkins, wet naps, decent silverware and anything we requested with our meal. My only minor complaint was the brandy old fashioned. It had so much in the glass (ice, muddled fruit and two cherries) that here wasn’t much to drink. This is a 45 minute drive for us but we will definitely be back. I can’t remember when I’ve had such a...
