Hardee’s — Restaurant in Town of Dekorra

We ordered food through the drive through and they wanted cash only at the drive through. We were overcharged so decided to go inside. To see what was wrong. They had the wrong order so we reordered our food. They already had our drinks from the drive through so they handed them to us. Went to taste it and was watered down. So I went to dump my sons out first and a silver bug dropped from the lid. I told them hey a bug dropped off this lid. The kids just shrugged their shoulders. So we cleaned it up because the area was messy. Went to fill our drinks and the fountain was out of soda. So I nicely asked if they would change it so we could get Soda. They just stood there. I asked them nicely to please have someone change it so we could get Soda. So waiting for our food my son and I were talking and went to get soda and still no syrup. So I asked again. Kid says well I don't know how to do it. I said well I used to work for Hardee's in High School would like me to show you. I was being nice not a Karen. I asked nicely. Finally someone came up and asked what the problem was. I said the syrup box needs to be changed. So we waited........no one to let us know it had been changed. So I ran the line until the syrup came through. Fries were really overcooked and only a little in each order. Burgers were nasty. Usually the food and service are good here. Yes it's fast but doesn't mean it has to be terrible. Starting to realize if you're going to spend $30 to $40 for a meal might as well eat at a sit down restaurant. Oh and it...

You’re short staffed?

Somebody didn’t show up on time?

Things didn’t go as planned opening the store?

Fine. Customers have come to accept waiting or finding the establishment is out of certain items as a “norm”.

Being short staffed or having staff arrive late is no excuse for being just plain flippant to guests whom are spending money in your place of business.

Staff handling these workplace inconveniences with grace, eagerness and problem solving skills seems to be lost here, especially. Our counter person was less than happy, never apologized for opening late, never smiled, and carried a poor, downtrodden, annoyed tone while taking our order.

A bit of customer service could’ve gone a long way. A smile. A genuine, “Good morning, I’m so sorry, we’re off to a slow start today, but we’ll do our best to get your food out as quickly as possible. Thanks for coming in!” would have changed our experience this AM, but we did not get that, just a crabby employee’s melancholy disdain.

It would serve to remember that whatever happened that morning, the guests should not suffer. That guests are the reason for any business to survive and to ultimately pay employees wages. Make them feel comfortable. Explain the situation. Apologize for the inconvenience. Acknowledge the issue. Act to provide the best service possible and for Pete’s sake, just smile. That goes a long way.

Needless to say; I won’t spend my money here again.

I got 2 cheese burgers ✅

And a hi-C for my drink ✅

🍔 The Cheese burgers tasted really Good✅ Yeah the meat was like not hot but it was like warm but not cold so it was okay overall !

🍟 Fries tasted great ! But could of been straight out of that oil and would have been better✅ The🍟fries were also warm so that’s how I know that they were sitting around waiting to get grabbed😳

The bar b q sauce was really good with fries and burgers! ✅

The Hi-C orange burst drink was really good ✅

Overall if the food was hotter , and not warm .. it would have been 5 stars for me here.

But yes the food was great!

& also I ate here … they called me up for my food and didn’t offer me any condiments with my food I ordered … 😵‍💫there was also no condiments to grab besides lids for drinks or straws and napkins 😒

But they called someone else and asked them “would you like ketchup for your fries “ lookin ahhh 😑
