Tiki Beach Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Town of Dewey

I had an event here with about 15 of my family members. We rented a pontoon at a nearby vendor and spent a day on the beach together. Everyone ordered food and drinks several times as we got there before lunch and stayed until mid afternoon. The kids loved the beach, and the location is great and the drink and food prices were good, which was a good thing because we ordered a lot of food and drinks.

Unfortunately the experience ended very poorly for for my niece and her family. The owner of Tiki Beach saw her drinking water (water!) from a bottle near her car. Despite the fact that he didn't have any water bottles, he dug into her and yelled at her, telling her she is not allowed to drink her own water on his property. Being young and completely inexperienced at confrontation, she immediately broke down and began crying. The experience was entirely ruined.

This was a gathering intended to get the family together to spent time with my terminally ill mother and it's unfortunate that it had such a sour note because the owner of Tiki Beach acted, in my view, so very inappropriately. My niece was drinking her own bottled water, not food or drink he could have profited on. Even if she had, his response still would have been inappropriate.

This is a place i'd gone many times in the past with my fiancee' or friends. We'd often take our sea kayaks out for a paddle or practice then return to the bar for a meal and maybe an extra beer or two. Went to Tiki Bar to rent SUPs. Arrived at 11am upon opening and had to ask someone to wait on us as the bartender was ignoring us. When we finally received the paper work for the rental, another bartender asked us how many we were renting then proceeded to share that with a gentleman across the bar who just arrived. We waited for quite some time for someone to process the papers and get us the boards. When we finally walked out to get the boards, the gentlemen at the bar was already out picking up boards. I explained to the worker that we were there first and needs 2 boards. He told us we only get one as the rest are broken. The bartender refused to help us and we ended up leaving. I have been to tiki numerous times in my life due to living only a few miles away. Let me tell you, they have made amazing improvements when it comes to the menu! We had the grilled fish on Friday and it was outstanding. Tiki used to be a place where you just got drinks because the food was terrible. This year, we decided to give it a try. Other party member ordered spicy onion scoops, pizza, and the Western Burger. The only semi-complaint is that the pizza could’ve been cooked a few minutes longer, but was still great! I would recommend this beach bar to everyone before any other restaurant on the water in a 20 mile radius. Keep up...
