I really want to give the Dover Inn 5 stars because their food is really good. I'll explain after I share our meal, why the minus 1 star. We love their Friday night Fish Fry. Interesting, it's called beer battered, but it's lightly breaded cod and it's delicious. Comes with the sides, rye bread, slaw and choice of potatoes. The cool thing is the baked potato is a red potato - great option that my wife really enjoyed. I love potato pancakes and these were tasty. Two meals and a soda for a little over 24 bucks. Not bad. Why minus the 1 star? First I hope that I am wrong but the potato pancakes, although tasty appeared to be purchased frozen and fried for my meal. See my picture. The two are identical in shape and size. The website states that the business has been in existence since 2003. The decor confirms that. And this place is LOUD. It reminds me of an old fashioned bar that I would find way up Nort'. But the locals must like it as the place was packed, bordering on unsafe during the pandemic. If it wasn't so far from our home, we'd get carryout next time.

I had the crispy Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was really good. Came with basically just the chicken, bun and Buffalo sauce, no lettuce, tomato or anything but might be something you could ask for. Got the fries as my side and asked them to make them Cajun...my friends said that was the right choice bc they were pretty bomb. My husband got the garlic parm wings and really like them (not pictured), and ordered the ribs as his meal since they’re the Saturday special. He wasn’t as impressed with them...has had better elsewhere. But they weren’t bad and maybe they’re up someone else’s alley 😊 nice vibe and ambiance. Our waitress was great and we didn’t wait long for food! 4/5 (bc of the ribs) would eat there again though. Will happily give a 5/5 of the next meal is good too!

This place was recommended from a friend of my wife. He said the burgers were great. I agree. The burgers & chicken sandwich were outstanding. We ended our visit with a spirited game of Horseshoes! Great food, Great service. Thanks Shellie!

We both ordered the fish or seafood platter, came with cod, perch and shrimp, all delicious, sides included were potato choices, i had fries, cole slaw which was better then most, rye bread and tarter sauce which to me was middle of the road only because most tarter is made with dill or sweet relish, i prefer the sweet and think this was dill, nothing wrong just not my preference, road constructive had us going west on hwy 11 and turning north on hwy 75, there was a sign that said open to Dover inn, i had a margarita which was good and finished with a hacker pschorr on tap, rare to find that, the waitress was nice but very busy so there was a sense of urgency to order but never had to track her down for anything as she checked back often, prices i feel were reasonable, it has a nice round bar and my guess was 15-20 people could sit and it was packed with some waiting for a stool, the dining area was close quarters but not uncomfortable and seemed it didn't take long to sit, we sat immediately, theres nothing negative to say and would definitely go again, we went right at 5:30 which i assume is a busy time, a cozy place where most seem to...

We never ate there before.. heard it was a good place to go.. well.... they lied.. we were sat out in the sun room with a menu that didn't have hardly anything on it.. so we were going to leave.. waited for 15 minutes before anyone even came up to us.. was never even offered water.. finally the girl came to us.. we ordered food.. thinking we would give them a chance (mistake) while waiting for out food.. we see other people inside getting hamburgers and other things that was not on our menu.. I asked the waitress if they had another menu.. she said yes.. brought it to me.. and there you go.. a real menu.. she said they don't hand them out because the kitchen gets overwhelmed.. yet.. everyone Inside the place had the big menu.. she wouldnt ket me change my order..all that sat in the sun room got the small one.. I ordered chicken tenders that I couldn't even eat because they were left in the grease to long.. they were so burnt along with the fries.. cant belive they even brought it to the table..we will never go back.. and if anyone else wants to try it.. make sure you ask for...
