Riverview Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Dover

Neighborly bar which serves good but limited pub grub. Includes an enclosed porch, pool table, automatic teller machine (dings you for $3 per withdrawal... but the bar only takes cash!), a juke box and a digitized dart board. In season there are picnic tables which overlook Tenmile River. Small bathroom with graffiti scrawled all over. Very friendly barmaid. No drafts but there are about ten bottled beers on offer, domestics...

Walked in and greeted by a dude sitting right in front of entrance smoking a cigarette. Was hoping to come in and get a quick snack between hikes.. I am not high maintenance but I cant imagine anything from that kitchen coming out clean. If you're a chainsmoker just looking to get drunk, might be a good place. If you're looking for good vibes and a good snack/bar food - I'd probably not stop and go literally...

It's like the fun bar's we used to have in Thornwood and Hawthorne and Pleasantville. Funny thing is that the people I used to hang with in town now live up there . Always great to see my crazy family....
